^ nah man you cant replace a full time bowler with a batsman who happens to know how to bowl. Even Ashraful bowls more often in the domestic circuit than Naem. Just goes to show you he is not being used properly. He plays in the top 5 thats what he has been doing for his entire career until he came into the national team. As for Razzak unfortunately I think for the moment he is the next best thing we got next to Shakib. And we should just stick with him for the time being. His record at home is not too bad. I would say Shuvo is right behind him Razzak has the edge because of his experience. Nayeem and Riyad are both part time bowler at best. We cant expect them to bowl full 10 over quota in every match.

Well naeem in the national team is more of a bowler then a batsman. I mean he comes in at #8 which is pretty much a bowlers spot. I agree he's not being utilized the right way in the national team. Actually he should be tried out at #3 or #4 since zunaed and rokib have been inconsistent but we all know the team management is not gonna do that. Naeem as the stats suggest is more then a part timer in my opinion. If razzak was performing consistently then I would want razzak. Anyways razzak will play regardless.

জাতীয় লীগের আলোকিত ক্রিকেটাররা


জাতীয় ক্রিকেট লীগ শেষে ক্রিকেটারদের এখন অপেক্ষার পালা। ঈদের ছুটির কারণে অনুশীলনের টেন্ট থেকে ছাড়া পেয়েছেন জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজের প্রাথমিক ক্যাম্পে ডাক পাওয়া খেলোয়াড়রা। এক সপ্তাহের ছুটি শেষে আগামী ২১ নভেম্বর কোচ জেমি সিডন্সের কাছে রিপোর্ট দিবেন তারা। প্রাকটিসের একটু ভিন্নতা আনতে চট্টগ্রামের জহুর আহমেদ চৌধুরী স্টেডিয়ামে অনুশীলন হবে চারদিন। এরপর স্থায়ী ভেনু্য হোম অব ক্রিকেটে। পাঁচ ম্যাচ ওয়ানডে সিরিজ খেলতে ঢাকায় জিম্বাবুয়ে ক্রিকেট দল আসছে ২৬ নভেম্বর। ১ ডিসেম্বর থেকে মিরপুর শেরেবাংলা স্টেডিয়ামে প্রথম ওয়ানডে। জিম্বাবুয়ে বিরুদ্ধে ওয়ানডে সিরিজের আগে নিজেদের ঝালাই করার ভালো সুযোগ পেলেন প্রাথমিক ক্যাম্পে ডাক পাওয়া খেলোয়াড়রা। যাদের ব্যাটে রান ছিল না তারা ফর্মে ফিরেছেন, আবার ফর্মে থাকা ব্যাটসম্যানরাও ধারাবাহিকতায় রয়েছেন। জাতীয় লীগে পারফর্ম করায় টিম ম্যানেজমেন্ট খুশি হলেও বোলারদের নিয়ে এখনো স্বস্তিতে নেই।

অফ ফর্মে থাকা খেলোয়াড়রা রানের দেখা পেয়েছেন, স্পিনাররাও ফিরে পেয়েছেন তাদের পুরানো ছন্দ। অফ ফর্মের কারণে যারা জাতীয় দলের বাইরে ছিলেন আসন্ন জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজে নির্বাচকদের কাজটি তারাই কঠিন করে দিয়েছেন জাতীয় লীগে পারফর্ম করে। মোহাম্মদ আশরাফুল, শাহরিয়ার নাফীস, জুনায়েদ সিদ্দিকি, জহুরুল ইসলামরা জাতীয় দলে ঢোকার দরজায় কড়া নাড়ছেন। এদের পারফর্মের কারণেই জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজে দল গোছাতেই নির্বাচকদের হিমশিম খেতে হচ্ছে। তবে জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজ শেষে বিশ্বকাপের দল গোছাতেও একটু বিপাকে পড়তে পারেন নির্বাচকরা।

দলে জায়গায় করার প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা বেড়েছে, দলে টিকে থাকার মানসিকতার পরিবর্তন হয়েছে। জাতীয় লীগে খেলোয়াড়দের ফর্মেই ফুটে উঠেছে তাদের পরিবর্তনের ছাপ। বাজে ফর্মের কারণে জাতীয় দলের নিয়মিত হওয়া আশরাফুলও দল থেকে বাদ পড়েছিলেন। জাতীয় লীগে ম্যান অব দ্য টুর্নামেন্ট হয়ে সমালোচকদের ভালো জবাব দিয়েছেন। সেই সাথে জাতীয় দলে ঢোকার পথও পরিষ্কার বলা চলে। তবে সমস্যা হচ্ছে আশরাফুল যে জায়গায় খেলে থাকেন সেখানে এখন খেলছেন রকিবুল। লীগে তিনি অপরাজিত ৯০ এবং সেঞ্চুরি করে এই জায়গার প্রতিদ্বন্দ্বিতা বাড়িয়ে দিয়েছেন।

অন্যদিকে শাহরিয়ার নাফিস, জুনায়েদ সিদ্দিকি ও জহুরুল ইসলাম-এই তিন ওপেনারের লড়াইও নির্বাচকদের মাথা ব্যথার কারণ হয়ে দাঁড়িয়েছে। তামিম ইকবালের সাথে ইমরুল কায়েস ওপেনিংয়ে নামলে ওয়ান ডাউন ও টু ডাউনের জন্য এই তিন ওপেনারের একজনকে বেঞ্চে বসে থাকতে হবে। সমপ্রতি নিউজিল্যান্ড সিরিজে বাজে পারফর্মেন্সের পরও জুনায়েদ ঠিকই চার নম্বর পজিশনে খেলে গেছেন। আর জহুরুলকে চারটি ম্যাচেই বেঞ্চে বসে থাকতে হয়েছে। যদিও এই লীগে জুনায়েদ পেয়েছেন দু'টি ফিফটি আর জহুরুল একটি। মিডল অর্ডার নিয়েও স্বস্তিতে টিম ম্যানেজম্যান্ট। নাঈম ইসলাম, মাহমুদুলস্না রিয়াদ, শুভগত হোমও মিডল অর্ডারের পজিশন নিয়ে যুদ্ধ করে যাচ্ছেন। তাদের সাথে যোগ হয়েছেন নতুন উদীয়মান ব্যাটসম্যান শুভগত । গত মৌসুমে তিনি সবার নজর কেড়েছেন। তবে ধারাবাহিকতা ছিল না এই মৌসুমে। মাত্র দু'টি ফিফটি করেছেন ঢাকার হয়ে। সব মিলিয়ে তার ব্যাটিং ছিল প্রশংসনীয়। সেক্ষেত্রে রিয়াদ, নাঈম ও শুভ'র জাতীয় দলে ঢোকার জন্য ভরসা রাখতে হবে নির্বাচকদের আস্থার প্রতি। কারণ এবারের লীগে এই তিন স্পিনার-কাম ব্যাটসম্যান ভাল করেছেন।

বোলারদের জন্য তেমন একটা সুদিন যায়নি জাতীয় লীগের ওয়ানডে পর্বের ম্যাচগুলোতে। মাশরাফি বিন মুর্তজা ইনজুরির কারণে মাঠের বাইরে থাকলেও অন্য বোলার-শাহাদাত, রাসেল এবং নাজমুলের আহামরি ফর্ম নেই। টিম ম্যানেজম্যান্টের হতাশাও সেখানে। ব্যাটসম্যানরা রানে ফিরলেও বোলাররা মেলে ধরতে পারেননি। শাহাদাত ১১ উইকেট নিয়ে অন্য বোলার থেকে তুলনায় ভালো পারফর্ম করলেও সেটি মন ভরাতে পারেনি ম্যানেজমেন্টের। ম্যানেজমেন্টের সাথে কথা সেরকমই কিছুর ইঙ্গিত দিল। জিম্বাবুয়ে সিরিজের আগে বোলারদের নিয়েই বাড়তি টেনশনে থাকতে হচ্ছে তাদের। যদিও বোলিং কোচ ইয়ান পন্টের কথা অনুযায়ী পেসারদের অনেক উন্নতি হয়েছে। কিন্তু জাতীয় লীগে সেই পারফর্ম দেখাতে ব্যর্থ হয়েছেন তারা।

জাতীয় লীগ শেষে ঈদের ছুটিতে গতকালই ক্রিকেটাররা ফিরে গেছেন নিজেদের বাড়ীতে। প্রায় এক মাসের অনুশীলন শেষে এই ছুটি পেলেন তারা।

Yes tiger this is the point.After the NZ series in some of my posts i said that i ll take Naeem over Razzak.It was criticized some of my forum mates.But as day by day Naeem is improving it seems to me we have no way but to take Naeem over Razzak.Razzak is losing his way gradually and Naeem improving.More over Naeem is an Offi and probably best offi in bangladesh now.So IMO Raj ll have to fight with Shuvo for the spot.

Don't get fooled by Naeem's bowling, whichever match BD won, Razzak has bowled fine under pressure and picked up crucial wickets. Especially outside BD, Razzak is by far the most decent spinner after Iceman.
