The first ever member joined the forum on this day!!
The first ever post was also made on this day!!
We can consider it as the Birth Day of the forum.

Well this forum was probably born at this date But Tehsin's website has existed since 1997 i think....though it has changed names and locations a few times

I'll let you have your fun. o6-06-2002 was the re-birth of BC. If you read the first post, you'll see that we were forced to change server/forum cause someone hacked into ours.

First post on the board

FROM THE GRAVE - First dated post on the new board.

This board (RE)started it's journey On June 6 of this year. Before that, it enjoyed about four months before someone thought it'd be funny to hack it. By the way, it was known as the "Tigers Board" in teststatus.com from April 2000 - April 2002. Some members have been with us forever, namely Fwullah. She has been around from pretty much day 1 (thank you for that). She was closely followed by "Rajputro". Sham, did you follow Almer or was it the other way around ?

Just thought I'd bring back the first post stored in here. Also, if you are boared. Feel free to go back and see how some of us had to eat our words and how some of our predictions became painfully true.

Yes, happy b-day to the forum

Over the years the forum has changed its look, style and content; but one thing never changed. It is the members, they are the ones who make it so nice place to be in

Although I joined few months after the forum start (can't remember how I landed here browsing the net), it has been quite an experience. Four years on...

Talk about good ol walk down memory lane. Bangladesh was about to ger test status and i was contacted by the folks at Rivals to see if I'd be interested to run the Bangldesh cricket site for them. Off course, they did not have a Bangladesh site but figured every test nation (altough not finalised) should have their own website. Rivals wanted to compete with cricinfo at the time.

I was told that I can't run my other site (the one that got their attention in the first place). I was a poor foreign student and the idea of not having to pay for service and getting free pics from Rivals plus having a broader audience was something I didn't want to pass up on. It was a great relationship while it lasted. After about two years, they decided to cut down 7 of the 10 national team site and Bangladesh was one of those that they cut. All I am going to say is - I AM GLAD THEY DID.

As far as I can recall, started BC around February of 2002. It was running smooth up until the hacker got the best of us.

There is a long standing custom in Bangladesh to pardon and release prisoners on occassion of special days. How about following the same custom and unban some banned members?

You were doing so good till this point. Why give Chinaman more headache? If they want to come back as a rebirth BC member and follow the rules then there shouldn't be any problem. But from my experience I know "history repeats itself".

Just wanted to add that - we are still missing one of our biggest architects, our Webmaster Zunaid bhai - who has changed the face of BC (with Arnab, Raj Bhai, Nasif, and Ehsan) over the last couple of years. Please continue to pray for his full recovery.
