He never was, just played few decent knocks last year and some fans thought he is the real deal at t20. To me he could ok at ODI. then again many players doing so well, mominul has to preform consistently to get in now. To me he should play for A-team for the moment for another year.

Shamsur Rahman has really impressed big time in this edition of BPL (2). Shamsur can be very good player in the middle order for BD in the ODI'S, he plays spin so well. I Think BD can afford to let Tamim and Shakib go and play in the IPL, and go to ZIM tour without them and give the youngsters like Shamsur, Shabbir and Milon chances.

I like samshur rahman. he is a great player and i hope he joins national team sooner and sustain the pressure with great performances.

ha! Why do you want our players to play in IPL instead for national team? doesn't make sense. Bangladeshi players are barely used in IPL and no I disagree totally for them to skip Zim tour hope you haven't forgotten what happened in 11 where we lost the test and one day series to Zim. At this moment, Zimbabwe can give us a tough series even with full strength sorry to say. Just take BPL for example where players like Elton and Taylor and playing really well on our surfaces so Zimbabwe on their surfaces will be very tough.

My first post of this thread:

Just finished watching the full match replay from my Sky box. Bowling was crap from both team, I cant say it was flat wicket as there was some vicious bounce every now and then, If a quality fast bowler was bowling in this pitch, he could have had many batsmen in trouble. Riders definitely missed Fidel.

Batting wise Shamsur was outstanding but I feel he was about 7 to 8 runs short. Imrul was good but slow comparing to other batsmen.

Sylhet won it for their team effort specially in batting. Chandu and Stirlo laid the foundation Mushy kept the pressure on opposition, he was supported by Milon then Muminul and at the end Chigumbura finished it off in style.

But lets not take nothing away from Shamsur Rahman any other day with better team effort it would have been match winner.
