I got no problem with h2h rule. As far as I can recall this rule helped us move into Asia cup final last year, where we lost the title just by a couple of run with pwnage of Cheema incident.
I'm glad that BB (imo #4 worthy) didn't put them into any sorta nrr drama this occasion as like last year. ATM I'm worried now with these predictable Abuls, wheather they will be able to show us any compititive game at BPL playoff or not.

DG also last season had Ajmal, Afridi joinin in in the semis and they were the difference and won DG the title!!!!

But why doesn't other teams do the same.

Whats up with this bashing about late entries? Pollard was signed a long time ago even though he wasnt available. and Gayle was signed as a replacement of Owais Shah.

All the franchise paid similar amount to buy the teams, stop being a cheapass bring some quality players. DG aims to compete in CL level and thats why they made a strong side. From good nationals to internationals followed by a good coaching staff. Not a difficult mantra. Syllet fans shouldnt be complaining. There franchise were bidding for everyone at the auction but lost those crucial players. Guess what? There are too many players to chose from and if you are not going to grab the opportunity, dont complain if others do.
Yes Gayle won the match for DG, but cant say that without him Syllet would have won easily. Head 2 head, Syllet 1, Dhaka 1. Dhaka is the top team without Gayle, Pollard... only had Luke and Dilshan for about 3 games. Dhaka did it all by themselves....

^^ i have to differ for my own reasoning, gayle and polard were not bought in the auction and after the pakistan mishap dhaka got time to buy players and they did it buying other players. all the players played hard in these league matches to put them in the top 4. now from nowhere there comes other players and becomes hero. its unfair for the players of the same team and also for bpl.... every team has a strategy for the opposition in this short league.
being a dhaka supporter feeling very sad for sylhet especially how they fought till the end. exclude gayle, its early supper time. wish dhaka would have won by the hands of other players to gain the spirit of game.

Pollard was bought by DG during auctions if I'm not mistaken, don't know abt Gayle.
Hope someone shares a source or something.
But my point is if DG can buy so late so can others, so don't see anything un fair, DG took the option others didn't. tant pis

Dhaka Gladiators opening batsman Chris Gayle departs

Defending Champions Dhaka Gladiators opening batsman Chris Gayle will depart today evening.


Please be informed that Dhaka Gladiators contacted the West Indian batsman for only one match which was the ‘Race to the Finals’.


The franchise had interest to retain Gayle for the final match but the 33-year old is suffering from back pain thus requires rest. The West Indies Cricket Board (WICB) is also concerned with Gayle’s fitness and has asked him to rest in order to be match fit for the national duties ahead.


The other West Indian cricketer of Dhaka Gladiators – Kieron Pollard will be available for the final game of BPL 2013.

And whats with this player payment and revolt trouble. And they spent 160,000 dollars on likes of Sir Abul too. I think the owners were meddling with the team.
