That doesn't solve our top order problem though. Yasir is more of a middle order player.

Soumya and Liton are both promising, but they need to do better to cement a place in the team.

Soumya was out but came back as others were unsuccessful too.

Honestly, I do not see these two being successful in English conditions.
But the same applies to possible substitutes.

Yes Litton is my boy alright. I like his batting, but I don't whine when get dropped or get selected.

The difference between me as some other fans is I don't complain when a non performing player (even I like him) get dropped. As well as I don't complain much when a new player (even I may not a fan of that player) get selected back again, specially if he is a newer player.

btw didn't Litton scored more than Mithun and mominul combined in this test? Mominul and Mithun are the two specialized batsman.

Never considered Mithun to be a longer version player to be honest, so no surprise there. I don't know what our selectors were thinking. The real disappointment was Monimul since it looks like he is a home ground bully. Liton hasn't been consistent in any format, except maybe in T20s. But we don't play much T20s anyway.

Mithun should get the chop if Mushfiq is fit for the second Test. One more chance for Liton, I guess, before Shakib joins the team for the 3rd Test.

Also Momin should not feel too comfy with his performance with away series. Both innings, he had a perfect pressure free situation as #3 where the openers gave him a perfect platform and he failed both of the innings. With a decent performance from him, things could have been different.

The question is does he deserves it or not based on his recent performace. The other issue is age, he is already a buira, the future is past behind him.

In top of it, when he plays for the national team, like him or hate him, we all root for him.

And check k the past record, when Ashraful had his Eid day innings, we all praised him for that particular inning.

Ash is still an X-factor in Kishoreganj T20 league, but no more a factor in any professional league.

Delusional Ash fans who still think he still has a shot at the national team are long overdue for a mental check up.
