Default Updates About the Ex-National Team Players

The ex-national team players can make some good contribution in the development of cricket in Bangladesh. I would love to know their current whereabouts. I am not sure how many of them are still attached with cricket.

Here is a small list of players whose whereabouts are known to us. Please make the list longer with your better knowledge.

  • Athar Ali Khan: This former classy opener is working as a part time commentator now these days. He is the only regular Bangladeshi voice we listen to while watching BD team playing live.
  • Akram Khan: Currently working as a selector for the national team.
  • Aminul Islam Bulbul: He has been working for the development of cricket in China. I am not sure if he is still engaged there. Before going to China, he was in Australia to work with club level cricket coaching.
  • Minhajul Abedin Nannu: He has been working with the academy team as a batting coach.
  • Gazi Ashraf Hossain Lipu: He is one of the direcotors in BCB. He is currently acting as the chair of the tournament committee.

They are all bunch of jokers except Chahca, Athar, prince, Faruq, Nannu and Bulbul! What happened to Selim Shahid?

Naim, "bagh mama" and Akram shouldnt be anywhere near the national side for various reasons.

Ehsanul Haque Sezan is a part-time coach and he is in charge of the Bangladesh U15, U16 and U17 teams when they play. He is also a scout as he regurarly attends school and junior matches.
