Ash is on fire! Playing his shots, and so far they seem to be coming off. Please God, let this last a while!

Rokon bowled for 10.
Goddamit! We needed one of the openers to play a long innings. This is not good, both openers out within 7 overs.

bashar needs to keep his end up, and ashraful had best be careful. at least he is showing the right aggression to keep the run rate within reach. who are the wi spinners - nagamotoo - where is collins

so there goes the top order.. is drakes this good or did we just give the wickets away as usual. there are still a few batsmen left, the other bowlers have not bowled that well, the run rate is good, BD should hunker down and not give up.
maybe the real cricket starts now, as always with BD. i am somehow in an optimistic mood today

Optimism
And Rain starts. If it lasts, Bangladesh wins by run rate.... So those early good works did not go down the drain after all. (If rain continues).....
Everyone sing "Allah meghde pani de bristi de...."

Winning on run rate ?
That will be so funny. If it does happen, it'll be another reason to look at the rain laws or the so called duckworth-lewis (SP) rules. The rules do work out sometimes but in our cases, it will be a blast.
Run rate wise, we did good. Lost early wickets as usual but eto dekhlaam je gaa showa hoye geche.

Run rate around the 15th over
That's how.
I have never been a big fan of rain and now I am really pipped. We don't get too many matches as it is, whatever few we get, we should be able to play it out.

I may have miscalculated. I couldn't get the data when they were at 17th over. I know that at 16th over their runrate is 4.80 where as ours at 17th is 5.29 if you can get the exact runrate..that will be good. I think we are ahead. I don't think they scored 15 runs on the 17th over

Yeah, but Duckworth Lewis isnt that simple is it?
I mean, we have lost 3 more wickets than them at the same stage. Thats gonna count against. Its not a straight forward comparison of run rates!!

It doesnt work that way. At least 25 overs needs to be played. And they use a D/L method which counts the target differently than just current run rate acheived by both team at any certain over.

OFF
Off to bed. Wil lcheck the scores in the morning. Hope we get to play the full match even though a smaller target won't really hurt.
