Now that is harsh. HHS. What happens if they lose 1, 2, or Zimbowash?

If Zim win a single match, Pak will come down to 84 points. If they win 2 then 82 points, and if Zim whitewash Pak then 80 points!

I think Zim is no more at par with us ... Or can compete evenly, like they used to do before.

No , its just that results from the 4th year will be erased.
Also recent results count more points. I think its like last year results count 75%, 2nd last counts 50% and 3rd one counts 33% only.

Auch!!!!!!!!!

$500,000 to get Zimbabwe in to lose points in ranking even after whitewashing them just before champions league lock down.

This must have been the mega epic failed series in the history cricket

Only way to avoid this is to cancel this series!!!!

wont do still. They are caught between a rock and a hard place.

If they dont play they would have more -ve points . Their only hope is to whitewash Zim and hope that

-ve something + +ve something = less -ve something

That is the only thing that can minimize the damage to their points in future.

that mean the new timline that is extended for pak with 3 wins against zim who are placed below in ranking actually erases a timeline from four years ago where pak have done well against somebody from above ranking

Lol. That is hilarious. This will be the biggest lose-lose series for them.

If they dont play, it will be bigger loss, but if they win against Zim at least the negative points will be minimized.

Yep, old results won't be erased till next year May. Then all off May'12-Apr'13 results will be taken off at once.

There gotta be bug with the predictor tool. This is not the first time it showing inconsistency.

As per BC tool, Pak will gain fraction of a rating point by whitewashing Zim. They will lose two points for every single lose.

PCB cannot afford to cancel the series as they are using this series as a stepping stone towards opening their homeland to international cricket. They wanna show ICC and the international cricket boards that Pakistan is indeed safe enough for arranging international cricket. No matter how low their ranking goes, they will never ever retreat from this series.

For all the pride they show off, they are now having to eat all the humble pies available in the planet.

I think this software is giving wrong prediction. If Pak wins the series 3-0, they will add 0.66 rating with their current 86.535 ratings

Here is the glitch - according to rules, if two teams have rating difference >= 40 (which is the case between Pak-Zim), if team with higher rating wins, they score their own rating+10 points. So each win should give Pak (87+10) points. However, predictor showing each win giving Pak 45(Zim's rating)+10.

Sorry guys, nothing to be excited, just a glitch in a tool, most likely developed by some Desi developer.

I was just going to post that. It's just bad programming.
Pakistan's rating should improve slightly (~1 point) if they whitewash Zimbabwe.
