This is what Niall O' Brien of Ireland had to say about the Afghans' antics:
I feel for him. Ireland has to play those guys regularly. Clearly he had to face the same kind of behavior from the Afghans.

Nabi is a decent guy from what it appears. He needs to get a grip of his team if they are to progress in intl cricket...
one can always lose a match, but why lose class.....

Won't complain because we have Anamul
But seriously, classless display by Afghanistan in and out of the field. Expected better from a lower ranked side facing a team in their home den.

Lost my respect for them too. That fat WK is really annoying.
You won't get far with this attitude. Even big teams don't sledge like that.

Well, the thread only for name calling seems a tad bit over the board, I mean after all you are a staff here. Anyway that's my opinion.

Only Nabi is decent cause he is the most experienced player and knows how intl cricket is. He also plays in DPL so he doesn't wanna ruin that option by such classless acts.

Nabi , Shenwari and a few others were polite and acted normal throughout the match, it was only that wicket keeper and Zadran that ruined AFG's image.

Sledging a team in crunch moments is fine, when you are winning, even more brutal.
Sledging when you're team is losing by a massive margin-classless. It was not our fault that your team would play garbage.

I like a bit of spice in the game. The game was very one sided and those "jhogras" were quite entertaining and added an edge i thought.

TBH i didn't opened the thread for name calling, the way afgan's behaved it took a lot of respect out from me for them, i really respected this side and wanted this side to do well in world cricket
i should have explained more in the OP that this thread is about what i saw and think and what others think

These Afghans are quite arrogant. Shapoor Zadran is one of them. I remember he sledged badly against the Irish in one of the matches. I am not going to root for them when they play against any other nation.

I also knew one Afghan 3 yrs ago who was really nice & well behaved.
Well offcourse we are not talking about the people in general but the cricketers,
this is why when you represent your country you gotta be careful.
hope these players have learned a lesson, but I don't expect the fatty keeper to learn anything.

Afghan people are generally very nice people and their food is delicious. That said the bowler who had a "supposed" shy at the stumps and almost hit Tamim in the process had no business doing that when Tamim was clearly standing inside the crease. Also the fatso wicket keeper went way over the top when the innings hadn't even started and he tried to instigate Tamim. But I liked how sternly umpire Nigel Short dealt with him. The way he dismissed the cameraman gives one the impression he must've given him an earful.

I was a bit shocked to see those behaviors from them aswell (well only 2 modons were acting like them so to be specific the WK and that Balled headed dude who walked towards shakib to start something). Imagine if they did this to Virat Kholi or someone from Australia ... LOL
