what is the point of these competitions as the mighty India cannot make the cut? this time no minnows are playing. ipl is better as at least one Indian team wins the cup.

India is overrated garbage..its not that they are new to international cricket like us..theyve been playing for like 100 years and have a billion people and they still can't make the cut in these major tourneys..and they talk about bein #1..well Australia is gonna be #1 always..look at them now..look how professional they play..there is a reason why they have dominated so badly..india are a lot like SA..win the series but can't play tourneys..last few times we played them we stayed with them for a while..Pakistan has been far more impressive in tournaments then india but arent as good in series..i hope india continues to lose..i cant stand their attitudes and arrogance..

I cannot blame India as they are playing a India 1.5 team basically.
Had they played Chawla and Irfan things could be different.
For the umpteenth time bring back Ganguly.

The best thing for the Champions trophy till date has been India's exit in the first round. BCCI is a curse to cricket.

Can England repeat their heroics and teach Ponting another lesson?
Can BD-esque batters of NZ pull off another upset against fierce Pak bowling attack?
Lots of fun awaits this weekend. Don't miss it!!

I would not go as far to say our batsmen are BD-esque, their averages show that
and we have 3 bowlers in the top ten, I dont see that from Pakistan

My god, how many times have we seen NZ make it to the semifinals? I must say they are one of the most consistent team when it comes to making it to the semis. But they have a horrible post semifinal track record. I want to see NZ kick out the over hyped pak team.

Watching McCullum swiveling his willow like a blindman against Anderson was an eyesore compared to watching S Nafis go fishing at the first ball.
Although he made some valuable runs against England, it was not pretty.

On one hand, Pakistan have beaten NZ in numerous semi finals, world cup 92, 99, as well as the recent 20-20 world cup.
On the other hand, as the match will be at the Wanderers I simply dont see Pakistan winning if they bat first

Talent couldn't beat Professionalism.
Good luck to all 4 teams in semi finals.

who over hyped us no body we are even not favorite to go through
we are isolated from cricket world not played test for almost 13 month and then we won the t20 and reach semi final of CT
i m happy that we are not allowed to play IPL by our govt.that is why we are not hyped as much as indians

I am expecting another Aus vs Pak game in the final and another nail biter.
Looks like somehow Aus manages Eng well and PAK manages NZ well in ODI games.

New Zealand have flown Scott Styris to South Africa as cover for Grant Elliott ahead of Saturday's Champions Trophy semi-final against Pakistan. Elliott is expected to play despite his thumb injury, but New Zealand wanted all their bases covered.
"We thought it prudent that we have cover for him just in case he can't play at the weekend," the coach Andy Moles told RadioSport. "So we're flying Scott Styris in from India so he'll be here for cover."
|
Better than makeshift. I like Styris.
