Mental Cause!!!
The way BD players showing their cricket sense is like some street cricketers around the corner. I think the coaches recruited since achieving Test status have been doing their maximum ability to improve our boy's performance but nevertheless it's the same damn poor shows over and over again. One of the many causes would be the "mentally strong and being positive" before playing any match. Doesn't matter if we loose every game but at least the boys should be mentally strong and positive about the game. The way BD batsmen got out in the 1St Test seems like they were so nervous at the crease that shots were unavailable in their sense. No matter how many times Whatmore yells or supplying advices or tips to them, they won't be imrpoved unless gathering positive mentality.

Who are you talking about? Street cricketers!!
I know some street cricketers who will slog any ball short piched or extra bounce and hit the nearby fence of a Biscuit factory neatly, the only problem is during Hartals they like to play there shots.
Otherwise you could dream of using them at Lord's.

Tushar Imran can be a good example after today's match. In latest news in BD channels the news readers were claiming that those who joined later will require more time to adjust to the condition now either TI has some lineage with the condition (may be he has some Sylheti link or something ) or these conditioning has taken us too far to bat as school boy's and then defend it even in worse manner with a general county team.
How they will face SA who should be so charged up after being curtailed from the carribean tour??

The BD team needs a psycologist, and the fans need a psychiatrist....

Com'on people, to begin with, Ash, Rajin, or Iqbal is thrown into international cricket without proper grooming (in international standard), their immaturity is not their fault. Even Zimbabwens (white ones) get to play first class/club cricket in South Africa, England, or Australia before coming to play for their country.
I myself make fun of Ashraful sometimes, but someone expecting a bunch of 20-year-olds to play more responsible is kidding himself.

yeah man, sometimes age matters too. But anyways, I think players should go abroad like minor county cricket, or any minor league in S.Africa, England or Australia, so that our players can accumulate some kind of experiences.

What's about the older ones. They are bum as well....BCB should withdraw from Test cricket for a while....get settled mentally...learn the basics...then impove playing with other countriers....then comeback to Test Cricket even though some people will not get paid but it will save the dignity of our country.
People of other countries will not call us Bengal Chickens any more...

yeah I agreed with "m35helal" view strongly. Cricket is not only physical game but it also a psychological game too. If our boys lagging behind this aspect then no matter how many coaches help them it won't help.

yawn......another stupid post
We've played only at home and odd international matches for YEARS before getting test status. How much it helped to improved our quality?
If you're so disgusted by our team, then don't watch them play.

We are improving but not as fast as other teams. Just think about how we nearly won a test match against Pakistan but look at them now. Even without Shoaib, Gul, Shabbir they played very well as a test team.
I would say they are a much stronger unit now and if they face Australia they will do really well but obviously they will need to include Shoaib Akhtar.
We will see what happens with them when they play against England.
England seems to be a very professional team now but Warne has enough experience in England to bowl well there. Mushtaq did so well in England but even he can;t play for Pakistan.
Without Warne and Mcgrath, Australia will lose the next Ashes easily.
Don't know about this Ashes, it will be an even contest if Lee is not included. He seems to know the technique of bowling in excess of 150 km/h all the time. Chucker ! is he ?
