Bangladesh line up for the next series
My world cup just ended today and I can go back to my regular life now. Moving on from today's match, how different should be the team composition? Here's my lineup:
1) Liton
2) Nafees/Shamsul/Marshall
3) Soumya
4) Mullah (c)
5) Sabbir
6) Mushy
7) Shakib
8) Nasir
9) Jubair/Taijul/Arafat
10) Rubel
11) Mash/Taskin/Al-amin
I think it's high time we give others a shot at the opener spots. Also considering home series, who'd you leave out to make room for an extra spinner?

Marshall for ODI ? NO thanks. Shamur, Liton needs to be given a go together at top. stick with Tamim, for now.
Zubair, Ziaur, Alamin, Liton needs to be added to the ODI squad next series.
Need stable captain. Mahmudullah fits the description quite well. He is mature, calm, plus on of the main batters. he could turn out to be our Stephan Fleming as a captain. Mash wont be around forever.
Players to be out: Shafiul, Kayes, Taijul, and Mominul

^ not bad selection but Anamul is injured I dont see him returning less than 6months. I'd add my boy Shamsu :P
and where is Alamin? he is our best death bowler. take one of the spinners out. Or Mash.

Tamim needs to be chopped for a full season. He can only come back to the team only after scoring tons of runs in domestic and A team tours. Right now he doesn't add more value to the team than any XYZ.

Also needs to practice a lot in the nets. I miss the Tamim who toured England in 2010.

We just had a successful campaign from overseas. We are gelling like a team even in foreign conditions. Players are giving their all. The next few series will be at home. Now you want to change leadership?
You guys are crazy to the nth power.
Let Riyad enjoy his moments. Not necessary to burden him with extra duties. Wasn't he sacked from VC position few months back?

I don't want too many changes. This has been one of the best teams we have put on. If any change is needed, then we could bring in Gazi or Jubair should any of them do well in domestics, as these 2 will bring in variations.

ODI Team to choose from for Next Series:
Openers:
Tamim Iqbal
Soumya Sarkar
Enamul Bijoy
Litton Das
Middle Order:
Mahmudullah Riyad
Shakib al Hasan
Mushfiqur Rahim
Finisher:
Nasir Hossain
Sabbir Rahman
Bowlers:
Mashrafee Mortaza
Taskin Ahmed
Rubel Hossain
Arafat Sunny
Taijul Islam
Al Amin Hossain
Jubair Hossain Likhon
Test Team to choose from: almost the same team but a little tweaking. Add Mominul into the Middle order. (Naeem Islam is a #1 backup personnel in Tests as my choice).
Lineup for the Next ODI(whomever the opponent is, Mortaza is suspended for 1 game):
1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Soumya Sarkar
3. Mahmudullah Riyad
4. Mushfiqur Rahim
5. Shakib al Hasan
6. Sabbir Rahman
7. Nasir Hossain
8. Taskin Ahmed
9. Rubel Hossain
10. Jubair Hossain Likhon
11. Arafat Sunny
Litton Das should certainly make his ODI debut. for the second and third game , Mashrafee should come back in for one of the Spinners.
missing from first ODI: Mashrafee, Taijul, Al Amin Hossain, Litton Das, Anamul Haque Bijoy
Test Lineup:
1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Litton Das
3. Mominul Haque
4. Mushfiqur Rahim
5. Mahmudullah Riyad
6. Shakib al Hasan
7. Sabbir Rahman
8. Nasir Hossain
9. Rubel Hossain
10. Jubair Hossain Likhon
11. Taskin Ahmed
(in home conditions, two pacers should be sufficient i think)
Backups: Imrul Kayes, Shafiul Islam, Taijul Islam, Soumya Sarkar, Naeem Islam
T20 Lineup:
1. Litton Das
2. Soumya Sarkar
3. Shakib al Hasan
4. Mushfiqur Rahim
5. Mahmudullah Riyad
6. Sabbir Rahman
7. Nasir Hossain
8. Mashrafee Mortaza
9. Arafat Sunny
10. Rubel Hossain
11. Taskin Ahmed
Backups: Tamim Iqbal, Taijul Islam, Shafiul Islam, Enamul Haque Bijoy

Yes, absolutely. Tamim certainly needs to go through the same phase Nasir Hossain went through. Tamim did do decent against Zimbabwe in home conditions, so i considered the top order experience. I wouldn't mind if Litton is tried out in the ODI matches and having Tamim as a backup.

Wouldn't make too many changes to the ODI team, continue with Soumya at 3, unless they want mushy at 3 which I'm all for. Otherwise bring litton into the xi to open with either tamim or anamul.
