Default Best Fast Bowlers of All Time (Pick your top 3)

I can't create a poll with 35 42 options. hence creating a thread instead. Pick your top 3 pacers that you want to have in your Best 11 Test squad. I might have missed a few (remind me if you want any inclusion), however most names are well-renowned. In fact, some may raise your eye-brows. There are 10 from AUS, 7 from WI & SA, 6 from ENG, 4 from PAK, 3 from NZ & IND and 1 from SL & ZIM.

I've ranked them based on their S/R in test cricket. Players is RED are still playing.

1. Kagiso Rabada (SA, 2015-2018) (Mat: 30, Wk: 143, Avg: 21.59, SR: 39.2)

If Marshal, Garner, Roberts, Holding, and Croft terrorized batsmen on the field, Wesley would go in their dreams and terrorize there as well. He started his cricketing career as WK/Batsman. lol.

Dear R0ssei,
How do you feel about Test Fast bowler Fazal Mahmood of Pakistan (Pakistan's first 3 decades of test cricket, post independence)? I think that he was exceptional.

Well, really can't comment on players who played years before I was even born. But his SR is around 70 for which I don't want to list him here. However if more like you want him, then sure.

I added Rabada coz he will probably be in the top 10 bowlers of all time if he has a long career. Plus there are Bolt, Southee, Broad, Anderson, then why not him?

I'm gonna g to say:

Marshall
McGrath
Holding

Marshall I believe is the best of all time, McGrath was exceptional in a mainly batsman's world and Holding I think is just very underrated (he averaged 23 at home and away from home, he averaged under 25 everywhere except for NZ don't know why his record is so poor there).

Honourable mentions: Lillee, lindwall, Hadlee, Steyn, Imran, ambrose, garner. Donald, Walsh, Miller, Wasim.

Rabada is terrific though, he's one of my favourites ever but don't think it's fair to pick him due to not having played enough yet (Procter was awesome but he barely played).

Garner is a good pick, he actually did average 25 or under everywhere he played though it didn't include India, actually Joel averaged las than 20 in 3 countries.

The top fast bowlers are so close together it's very hard to pick just 3, it would depend heavily on conditions and the criteria given (is it for one match or for a series? Or for an entire season? Do they play in Asia, or Australia or Africa or all of these places?.

The thing with holding is, he played with that deadly pace attack that meant he was fresh all the way through, great too watch, but made it easier for all of them.

I protest. Starc can only be counted as 1. Not 3. The rules were set at the beginning. Otherwise I would have had Wesley for #1, #2, #3, ...#10.

1. Steven Smith
2. David Warner
3. Cameron Bancroft

because why would only batsmen plan to ball tamper? Ergo these guys must be the best fast bowlers I have ever seen.

Or at least, they know better about reverse swing.
