Default Where is your "Desher Bari"?

We all, more or less, have roots with certain places in Bangladesh (Or possibly abroad). So, where is your "Desher Bari" ? I'll keep the poll picks unexposed to the general mass in case some of you feel uncomfortable in letting others know.
...
It's not possible to name the 64 districts(65/66 now?) so I'll name the notable regions(Divisions and extensions) and cover the whole country for the poll. Feel free to tell us about your exact location of your "desher Bari" in the discussion below.
...
Mods please merge this thread if, in case, it's a duplicate. Thank you

Erm, do I follow my mom's or dad's? My dad's is Barisal and my mom's is Sonargaon, though both were born and raised in Dhaka city.

People generally (In Bangladesh) follow their dad's. There are exceptions too like in the Garo societies. If you follow mom's side, that's totally okay too.

Never heard of Dholia or Alobdia. My fathers home village is Dagon Bhuiyan/Dagon Miah. My dads side of the family still live there. I heard thru my dad that my elder cousin is a popular figure in his village area. My mother is from Comilla but grew up in Dhaka.

I don't like it how its the norm to go by your father's roots. I usually say both. Dadar bari comilla & nana'r bari pabna . So that makes me a 'Pab-mill-ian' :S

Looks like Noakhali and Mymensingh are on lead with 3 votes each. It would be really nice if everyone voted.

Dadar bari Mymesingh and Nana bari Mushigonj. I like Mymensingh better than Munshigonj. It is still very rural and has that pure village atmosphere. Kichu ek tola building bari ar baki shob tin shed naile matir bari. Mushigonj ekhon modern hoye gese.

NW, Mymensingh er kothay?
