why bother...asides from mash and rajib, no other bd bowler will come close to bowling 140k

if takes a nation of a billion rice and veggie eaters 70 years and a legit pace academy to produce 140 bowlers regularily, how long will it take us?

Thanks for the info Miraz. Good move from BCB.

Asaad,

Rubel Hossain, Shubhashish Roy and Suman Saha bowl just as quickly as MaMu and Rajib, sometimes even quicker. Then there's Zia who's improving all the time.

Rubel can reverse the ball like I haven't seen in other Bangladeshi seamers, Roy can bring it back in at pace, and Suman generates bounce and movement off the seam.

I think the Academy can do wonders for these guys, including now-less-pacy guys like Talha, especially on seamer-friendly pitches I expect they'd build ...

I think we have all forgotten the unsung hero Tapash who delivered when these two were not present. IMO he is still good, and pace foundation can definitely help him get more control over the ball. I have seen Tapash bowl 142-143 kph at times, he was quicker than Mash sometimes (talking about past when Mash used to bowl really quick).

And I have no clue what the board is doing with him. Last I heard he was injured, and after that no news on him. Does anybody know if he played in the premier league games?

Tapash is still quickish, and bats really well too. Sadly, he continues to spray all over the place. I hope the coaches help him rectify his control issues.

are there any pace allrounders who should be at this trial? and what of delwar hossain (got talked up by i think it was pilot early in the season and won a vacation to australia to train)?

and this is unrelated to the trial but has anyone heard anything of mohammad salahuddin and wascorni palash (i know he got banned but he was supposed to be quick, obviously would have to change his action but is he still trying to play cricket?)?

I think Shubhashish and Rubel are bowlers with tremendous potential, I rate them much higher than Dollar. Shumon sounds good but I dont have a lot of info about him I heard he is really tall, anyway the bottom line is our pace reserve is full of potential and these type of camps need to be conducted by the BCB more to help them

Good move by BCB. Hope it is not just one of program.

Sohel bhai you mentioned Zia, Shubashish Roy. I have heard those 2 have got the hights and the physique. True or just another false hope for us only time will tell.

i'll beleive it when i see it. and if sajid can clock 136 k and was never noted for his pace, then i guess these guys have a good chance.

fortunately, you're observations tend to factual

Yes, this is indeed the right aim, just like India has now - a decent set of 5 - 6 medium fast bowlers, 2 of which can play with the national team based upon form, fitness and availability (taking tests or not, becoming a father or not, getiing married or not, e.t.c.).

I really liked Sajidul - if they can only get him to bowl closer to the stumps all the time. Will be a good asset in places like NZ or England.

As we can see, players are transitioning between teams all the time - so as long as he gets his time with them, that will be good....for development.

But you still have a point - if a bowler underperformed in a ODI or test, we need someone working with them right away, from the observations made during the last game.
