Can Banglacricket get a banner to support avro against the blatant accusations Mostafa Jabbar is making?
Many prominent bangla sites are doing it, like somewherein amarbondhu etc.
Banglacricket was the place that led numerous people including me to the wonderous world of avro. A banner in support of avro would really be nice, as BC has great reach among internet-savvy Bangladeshis.

BC has been one of the first supporters of Avro during its early stages. It is still listed in our partner sites http://www.banglacricket.com/html/footer/partners.php. Mehdi Hasan did sign up in BC as well during that time.

Mostafa Jabbar is a thief. চোরের বড় গলা মানায় না। This is guy has no clue about Bangla and technology. His sole contribution that I can think of is the Bijoy keyboard layout. Rest is stolen from different places. He should just keep his mouth shut.

As far as other means of support (banner), let us think about it.

"আমার বিজয় সফটওয়্যারের পাইরেটেড সংস্করণ ইন্টারনেটে প্রদান করার ক্ষেত্রে এই হ্যাকাররা চরম পারদর্শিতা প্রদর্শন করেছে। এই হ্যাকার ও পাইরেটদের সহায়তা করার ক্ষেত্রে ইউএনডিপির নামও যুক্ত আছে। অভ্র নামক একটি পাইরেটেড বাংলা সফটওয়্যারকে নির্বাচন কমিশনে অন্তর্ভুক্ত করার ক্ষেত্রে ইউএনডিপির অবদান সবচেয়ে বেশি। ফলে প্রধানমন্ত্রীর কার্যালয়ের একসেস টু ইনফরমেশন সেলের ওয়েবসাইট হ্যাক হলে তার দায় থেকেও ইউএনডিপিকে ছাড় দেয়া যায় না।"

Avro Vs. Bijoy: Let Language Be Free

The Bangla blogosphere and Bangladeshi Facebook users are infuriated with protests as 'Avro', one of the popular and widely used open source Bangla input systems, was accused as a pirated version of another popular Bangla input system 'Bijoy' and the Avro team was mentioned as hackers.

In an article in a Bangla news daily, Mustafa Jabbar, the proprietor of Bijoy and a pioneer of Bangla computing said hackers were responsible for spreading pirated copies of his Bijoy software on the internet. He also said that UNDP had helped these hackers to be selected by the Bangladesh Election commission for their national database works.
