I envy your rain stories. To me rain is komar-shoman pani at Shantinogorer mor, my passing of anxious moments on a threewheeler as rickshaws fall and get stuck in open manholes left and right and me getting the taste of overflowing sewage water hosed straight on to my face by the passing car.

In BD during storm wind blows at different velocities at different heights within the atmosphere. The area of falling rain is pushed away from the up draught, and hence the storm is not choked. The storm can then persist for longer, and grow stronger. But in UK rain brings cool air down with it, effectively choking the up draught, and the storm dies away.

And it doesn't stop...
it just rains and rains all night in dhaka these days...

all gone quiet in the dark of night... and its only the nightshower thats playing outside..
with the yellow streetlights ... that makes the rain look like an upside down funnel of light
if u look at the street from your balcony..

the weather gone slightly chilling...
aww... its really such a wonderful rhythem all by itself!..
