375?
BLARA 375 766 538 45 0
Hayden needs a little over 100. Yep, he can do it. If not he can challenge Taylor and get the Aussie record.
Passed Bradman 270.

I find it absolutely ludicrous that the 5th wicket partnership is between batters whose averages are 55.98(Hayden) and 59.06(Gillchrist).
They should just give the Australians honorary ODI and test worldcups for the next 20 years and let the rest of the teams play among themselves.

"Along the way he surpassed his previous highest score of 203 in Chennai in 2000-01, took 50 balls to move from 150 to 200, and 29 balls from 200 to 250."
Destructive is an inadequate term.

ML Hayden (LHB) runs 271 338, strike rate 80.18 . what was Lara's strike rate?
I wish I could watch this great innings.
Also why are they only showing India and NZ series on www.willow.tv. why dont they broadcast Pak-SA, Aus-Zim and BD-Eng.

I am kinda interested to see what Lara himself will do when he plays Zimbabwe for the first time in a few weeks.

The last 100 runs are always the hardest
So lets see what happens. I really hope Hayden doesnt break Lara's record. Doing it against this Zimbabwe team will have little legitimacy.

Now Gillchrist is on a roll.
69 off 56 balls.
This is a massacre of unseen proportions.
Gilchrist becomes the first(?) modern day batsman(barring Smith), to have an average of 60+

[00:26:12] <@^AUS_ZIM> Gilchrist 100 in 121 minutes from 84 balls with 12 fours and 3 sixes
I sooooooo wish I could watch this test match. If Zim keeps playing like this, I hope we can beat them next year.

Tied with Hutton at 364
This is actually quite sad come to think of it. Sir Len scored his 364 not out against a great Australian side in 1938 at the Oval. Hayden gets to do it at home against a weakened Zimbabwe. Oh well, such is the modern game!

Australia better declare!
If Hayden scores 400, how sad will that be? No one is gonna break that for another 10-15 years!
