The many firsts
1. The first time that BD has gotten a major Test playing nation all out for less than 175, playing at home or abroad.
2. The first time that BD has gotten lead against a major Test playing nation after being bowled out for less than 200.
3. The first time that a BD pacer has gotten a 6-Fer against major Test playing nation.
4. The first time that a batsman has been out to a "Doosra" that bounces twice before reaching the bat.
5. The first time that no player of a major Test playing nation has been able to reach a 50 playing against BD in BD.
6. The first time that a major Test playing nation is on the backfoot for all of 2.5 innings completed so far.
7. The first time that past the half-way mark, it is a BD batsman who is the highest scorer and a BD bowler who is the highest wicket-taker.
Feel free to correct me. I didn't use any statistics site.

There's always a first for everything. First time ever Bd batsmen can say look they didn't bat too well either.

Pakistan first innings at Multan 2003 . You and me probably consider Pakistan as a minor team, but some may disagree

Indeed, that was the case (Is there an icon for sheepish grin).
The first has been corrected to:
5. The first time that no player of a major Test playing nation has been able to reach a 50 playing against BD in BD.
Hopefully, this one will stick

islam's 6-81 (while no comparison to shahadat's spell) was against a strong zimbabwe side. i think they had A flower in the side.

Didn't that also happen in the Fatullah Test against Australia?

Yup, we lost that test in just one session not dominated by BD.
Cross your fingers for the kufa 3rd day.

I hope this time our players wont get carried away and hold their nerves to continue to put pressure till the end.

The kufa 3rd day continues...
With the current selectors, we never had a shot to win this.

In the second innings, SA batsman, Smith has scored more than 50 runs, so not a first time,
but first time in BD or anywhere else a century has not been scored by any batsman of the opposition. Hopefully, this can also happen in the second test match.

Kallis shattered all our dreams in one session of mindful bowling.
First session, 3rd Day.

Shahadat's 6/27 beat Rafiq's 6/77 in the 2003 Dhaka test against SA. In fact, this is the best bowling figures in a Test innings by a Bangladeshi bowler; the other 6-wicket haul was by Manjurul Islam 6/81 and Nailmur Rahman's 6/132.
Can't believe Kallis won MOM.....yes he turned the game for SA, but Shahadat made it a game to begin with....being on the losing team obviously hurt his MOM cred
