Thumbs up Argentina-Nigeria match in Dhaka?

Quote:
The dream of watching football superstars like Lionel Messi, Gonzalo Higuain and John Obi Mikel is close to becoming a reality for the millions of football fans in Bangladesh.

Argentina and Nigeria, two of the powerhouses of international football, are expected to play an exhibition match in Bangladesh in September this year.

The two teams are slated for a visit to neighbouring Kolkata, and according to a reliable source at the Bangladesh Football Federation, will make a whistle stop tour to Bangladesh.

On condition of anonymity, the source, who is a member of the federation stated that talks with the respective federations are at an advanced stage.

He added that everything might be finalised by the 24th of this month.

It would represent a major coup for Bangladesh if they were able to attract the Argentina team to the country, since the Albiceleste's are one of the most widely supported teams in the country.

The match scheduled for September 6, is being organized with the help of Celebrity Management Group, an event management company which have previously negotiated the appearances of stars like Diego Maradona, Franz Beckenbauer and Roger Milla in India.

On all of those times, the BFF have failed to negotiate terms to bring any of them here but this time it looks like this might be a realistic possibility.

Argentina will face Venezuela at a friendly at the Salt Lake City Stadium on September 2

Would have been a lot better if Brazil came instead of Argentina, but still would be nice to see Argentina getting their behind kicked by Nigeria in Dhaka.

Don't care much about Argentina. Would be great if England came to play in Bangladesh. But thank god the pathetic and disgusting Brazilians aren't coming. Couldn't hate a team more than the Brazilian football team.

Ticket price should be atleast 10000tk. That will make exact 40crore taka from 40k spectators. The money from sponsor and broadcast will be bonus for BFF.

I loved the reaction of english media before and after the germany match in the WC.

how does India come into this discussion ?

should I take it as proof that you are out of arguments ?
Quote:
Overrated? By whom? The English media. The same is true for every major national Football team. But nobody outside of those countries notice that because Brazilian/Spanish/Italian/German media has no international presence. Because the whole world reads/listens to the English media it seems like they are the only ones who overhype their own team.
I don't know and don't care if the other countries do that, although it is probably justified for brazil most of the time.

what I do know is england sucks, and sucks really bad and english media drowns us in inane news about them denying publicity to more deserving better teams like ivory coast and cameroon (and kazakhstan).

Sometimes I wonder what would England and its media do if they had players like Messi, Ronaldo or even Totti...

Their media would've died of heart attack out of excitement & the world would have become a better place.
