Bangladesh Test Squad Announced : Razzak, Shafiul, Ashraful dropped.
Left-arm spinner Abdur Razzak has been dropped from the Bangladesh Test squad for the two-match series against West Indies. Allrounder Mahmudullah, who missed the limited-overs leg of the home series with viral fever, was also left out, along with middle-order batsman Mohammad Ashraful and seamer Shafiul Islam. Robiul Islam and Junaid Siddique were the other players to miss out from the Test squad that recently toured Zimbabwe.
Fast bowler Shahadat Hossain, who has been out of national consideration for more than a year, earned a recall, as did top-order batsman Raqibul Hasan whose last Test was in January 2010. Allrounder Elias Sunny forced his way into the set-up on the back of a strong show in the recent Bangladesh Board Cup, while Naeem Islam also found a place in the 14-member squad.
Bangladesh won the solitary Twenty20 that kicked off the tour, before West Indies took the ODI series 2-1. The first Test is from October 21 in Chittagong, while the second gets underway on October 29 in Mirpur.
Bangladesh squad: Mushfiqur Rahim (capt & wk), Tamim Iqbal, Imrul Kayes, Shakib Al Hasan, Raqibul Hasan, Naeem Islam, Nasir Hossain, Shahriar Nafees, Rubel Hossain, Nazmul Hossain, Shahadat Hossain, Suhrawadi Shuvo, Shuvagata Hom, Elias Sunny

Hom ...Gom no name every body there and No Ashraful, no Alok.... how that happened?
We dropped the higherest scorer from then last test?
How that happened Bashar?
Now who is going do "Elo Melo' to dangerous Bishu?
Without Ashraful and Alok fans, the stadium will be empty? Who is going to fill up the stadium?

Good Squad. Ashraful should have been dropped from ODIs...not from Test. He was the highest scorer in our last test match. Anyway if we make spin friendly wickets, we have a very good chance to win both the test matches. My starting 11:
1. Tamim Iqbal
2. Imrul Kayes
3. Shahriar Nafees
4. Shakib Al Hasan
5. Raqibul Hasan
6. Mushfiqur Rahim
7. Naeem Islam
8. Nasir Hossain
9. Elias Sunny
10. Shahadat Hossain
11. Rubel Hossain
Lets win it Bangladesh!!!

Bashar and co., you have done a cardinal sin. you dropped Ashraful? In top of that you dropped Alok?
Now on you guys are Marked Man.
With the help of Kaler Kontho, you all will be removed from the selector slots pretty soon.
You Ram Chagols, you spoiled our Eid.... now you will be our korbanir chagol...
Now instead of watching Ashraful's century, we will have Biriani made up of Korbanir chagol and watch cry baby Rokibul and no name Hom and meghe dhaka Sunny strugining against Rampaul and Bishu.

Agree 100% with the decision despite how they came to it.
I don't care if we struggle against the WI in the next two tests, we need to get this next group of players in, and see where they're at....Not to mention on the bowling side, Razzak should never ever play test cricket AGAIN.

A good squad overall. And don't get fooled by Ash's 73. He scored that after 20 or so failures. Even in the 4 day practice match he notched up scores of 2 and 0. He should be a goner from the national team period. And good to see Razzak is out of the squad as well. Time to look at other spinners because he's just not been the answer and lets up pressure as soon as Shakib builds it. Time to try Shuvo and Sunny see what they offer. I personally would have rather had Shafiul in then Nazmul but it seems we're gonna play just 2 pacers in the team, so won't matter in the end.
Good to see Nasir in the squad. I feel he could really do well in Test cricket. He's got a decent technique and in good form. A big test for Shuvagata but have hope that he'll do well if he gets a chance. Also I like Rokibul's inclusion. He did well in the practice match scoring that 72 which probably got him the nod. Overall he seems to be a better option then Ash.
I'm sad to see Riyad not playing though. Hope he feels better and comes back strong for the Pakistan series.

I can't believe we are recycling retards with more retards. As long as the playing 11 does not contain roqibul or nafees i will be happy. The new boys like nasir and hom need to play.

We have a lot of players in the squad that cannot play pace at all, hope they prove us wrong and win at least 1 test.

Its sad, but its temporary. But it also open up opportunity for the team to find out who is for real among new players. We shouldn't waste that opportunity on old rejects with no hope of improvement.

No place for Shafiul? Is this is the first match he will miss since the 1st ODI against NZ 2010?

It would be really tough for Mushy to bat any higher than 5 in the test being a WK.
