Should Nasir Hossain return to World Cup Squad
Nasir Hossain was a great asset for Bd but he lost form and had to endure a knee injury. That injury affected his performance in this year's bpl. If Nasir performs well in Dpl then he should return to World Cup squad. What do you guys think?

It's a long shot for him now. The management is almost satisfied with the set of players they have in their radar at the moment.
If Nasir is to be considered, then he would have to have a monster season. Notching up tons after tons. Taking bags of wickets. And being the exceptional fielder we know that he is.

ah, NO!! What in the world for would you want this hack in the team? I think Mithun is doing a fine job in his place, heck even Saffiuddin is a bigger asset at this point.

Not this world cup, but maybe Nas can make a comeback someday. Electric fielder, who imo had the greatest fall from grace, even greater than Ashraful. So sad to his 40+ test avg and 35+ ODI avg getting worse and worse. But even then, it is close to the 4 senior batsmen in the team, just so one keeps perspective.
Unfortunately, for selectors, it is all "what have you done for me lately?" And he failed to make all his latest chances count. But good showing in the domestics can open the door for him once again.

Maybe a hack, but at least put in some match winning performances recently. Nasir on the other hand, got opportunities and blew it.

Bcb destroyed Nasir's career by stating all lies about his personal life.India knows that Nasir Hossain is a good player because he scored century against them in a practice match. He also took 5 wickets.

You can't blame Nasir for not pouncing on his opportunity. He is returning from a devasting injury.

Am sorry, but where we both watching the same guy play all this time? He performed in domestic, got called in again, failed and kicked out rightfully. Instead of working hard, he took the time to work hard for ad revenues. He has all the right ingredient to be part of the big 4, would have been big 5 right now. He threw it out. Alot of the players don't seem to realize that there are only 11 playes in the internation team to take on the field. Don't take it for granted, put in the work.
If you were arguing about Mosadek and his injury, and not being selected, I would have been on board with you. Nasir got his fair share of chances, he blew it. Perform in domestic then we can give it a shot (if he is still in the radar for the next WC). For this upcoming wc, no way.

Its pretty clear Nasir has other priorities than his cricketing career. Hardly was picked for his BPL team and even then scored 1s and 0s lol

Actually there is no way Nasir can make it to this year's world cup. He can play in Bd odi series after the World Cup. It depends on his performance, fitness and lifestyle. I can't stand watching Soumya and Liton earning so many opportunities and flopping. Despite their failures they will still make it to the squad b/c of their religion and the coach and team management have faith in them. Both of them will struggle to score runs in World Cup trust me the way they bat there is no way they will score well unless they're lucky. Soumya record in Bd is pretty decent but outside subcontinent his record is horrendous. As for Liton he has no future according to me.

You start loosing credibility about your opinions when you start throwing in nonsense like this. Rest of your argument were valid.

rarbine2, put all your effort together and absolutely refrain from writing such outrageous infuriating crap in this forum.
Please do READ the forum rules and guide.
That post has been reported.

Last time he was in the team he looked completely out of his depth and he really earned the spot through weight of runs to regain his place at that time.

I am fed up with those two as you are rarbine. The problem is who will be the replacement for them. Let's say we drop Liton and Soumya, there's not many options to choose from for top order. Maybe try Miraz as a number 3 for now and keep one of Soumya and Liton and hope it's an Eid day everyday.

It is one thing to talk about religion - which is completely fine, another thing to accuse one and use religion/sex/politic/etc as a bait without any concrete evidence. You sir just gave that argument out of your behind. If you have concert proof, provide it, if not it's a bunch of noise.

Tbh you made a really big accusation claiming that two players are taken because of their religion. This is really baseless imo.
You might be new to a forum, but old enough to know what is right or wrong.
So according to your logic Shafiul Islam and Shabbir are taken into the team because of their religion too?

Thank you, brother rarbine2 for writing that. That shows incredible humbleness and sincerity. I made a lot of mistakes and still do and I learn everyday here in BC. Do not worry, rarbine2, you are good, you brought up some great points like Godzilla said.
I am a great fan of Nasir Hossain's batting, bowling an fielding. He is a great athlete. It is just frustrating to see that he has not been doing well in the recent years in the intl matches. But, I am with you - a fully functional, focused, applied at the field, a 100% Nasir Hossain would only make the BD national team a much stronger cricket unit.
Talking about religions here in BC (in the Forget Cricket Section) happens a lot, it is fine (constructively). It is just that we try not to judge, associate or send ill thoughts to one due to their religious backgrounds here in BC. It is like an unjust imprisonment of a fellow man due to his/her faith or no faith, sexual orientation, gender etc., you know.
The moderators and admins here in banglacricket.com are very kind and understanding. Do not worry. Please keep writing, posting. Please do not be discouraged by my earlier post. You are good, brother.
