who is good replacement of Shakib-al-Hasan as Captain?

Allah na koruk...By chance If Shakib gets injured himself and unavailable for match who can be replacement of him as captain?
be it in next T20 world cup or in future

Riyad maybe... (relatively the best option). But in reality if Shakib does get injured (Allah forbid) Ashraful will get the baton as Mashrafee wont be in sight....

atm no one. In future anyone from the above list except Ash if they can perform well enough to earn the position. I voted for Riyad. He seems cool headed and intelligent.

changing leadership every other day is very bad for a young team like ours. which is why I was so happy to see not to see Mash come right back in to captaincy as soon as he came back. Shakib may not be doing a perfect job (couple questionable calls) but he's the best option we have right now, just stick to shakib for now, while others continue to groom as players, and that includes shakib himself.

Shakib is doing a OK job (atleast he will learn and get more experience). he should not be changed from captain. In case of emergency I guess the vice captain should fill up the rool of captain. Makes perfect sence to me ... why else do people keep a vice captain then ?

Mushfiqur Rahim got the most privilege here because he has been captaining U-15, U-17, U-19(player like Shakib, Rakib and many more have been under this captaincy).. So I guess he will get the most favor, besides he is vice-captain at the moment.

Mushy, he Is the Vice Captain isn't it ? Given his chirping from behind the stumps,
will be very encouraging. Maybe he'll give up the gloves to a better keeper
and open the innings along with Tamim (or is he a better Number 3) ?

i will vote for mushfiq rahim--he has plenty experience as a captain, he should give up wicket keeping though.

my 2nd choice-- riad (though he has no experience at all) but he seems cool headed

Yes, the pressure Shakib takes upon himself is a concern. Bowling from one end all day every innings at home is not a wise decision. May Allah protect him from any groin injury.

maybe mushy but i def wouldn't want him keeping if he was captain (don't want him keeping now anyway). riyad, naeem and shuvo are possibles for the future but not for a few years.

I think mushy would actually be a better captain since he has that captaincy experience at age level cricket while shakib just captained domestic teams..they both have different styles though..shakib brings an attitude where he will throw his teammates in the fire if they dont act properly and dont perform..mushy is more of a guy who keeps on encourages and has a very gritty attitude..shakib obviously should stay as captain but mushy is definitely a good replacement as a captain..

Why should there be a replacement of Shakib? in case of temp absense, there is always a vice captain. I really fail to understand the point. We are spoiling players by expecting such musical chairs with captaincy. Captaincy was never any issue for our cricket, it's always good cricket/cricketers that we are short of, not captains.

Rajin saleh was once vice captain but pilot was given the chance to do over him in case of main captain's absence. more over another aspect of this thread is to think about more available options of captain for future.cuz u never know what's coming in future.look at mash's fortune.couldnt continue as captain in a match.so no one can say even mushfiq is an auto choice. after all captain is a big factor in cricket.

Well its was never a wise decision to give Mash the captaincy. Besides his injury, he is a weak person. Being the main strike bowler in the team, he has been always scared to bowl in the death overs. How could he get a command over the team? And see what he did when he was opted out for the 2nd ODI against England. Such a short-head. He got away with that partly because of BCB's weak policy and partly because we dont have a good fast bowler. He is not a captaincy material.
Siddons talked about making Shakib captain a long time ago while Ash was constantly failing. But the whole country went against him, specially Utpol Shuvro. Now Shakib is the captain. Technically Shakib is not the best captain but he has the command over the team. And he is not scared to express his opinions. I hope he remains healthy and doesnt lose captaincy because of poor form like all other previous captains.

Excused. Ak..m isn't a bad language at all. it's reffered to the un productive works not reproductive as you seem to guess.

By any definition, if a team is thinking of a replacement of a captain within 4/5 months (Even Less in Shakib's Case) of appointing someone, i don't have a better labguage for that act. Even the established teams don't do that, and a team like BD definitely can't waste time on this issue, while there are many other major concerns.

If a Vice captain isn't the automatic choice in absense of the regular captain, temporarily. Then I have to call this act also the same. That should be the primary purpose of having a vice captain in the team.

Unnecessary discussion of replacement of the captain without giving him enough time to settle, can only spread negative vibes, as such unproductive or counter productive, deseves to be in the same category of Ak..m.

Sorry, if you don't like it, but that's what is my opinion on the issue. There must be a ground to think of a replacement; I haven't seen that justification established to initiate such discussion.
