we're slow at adapting...first few matches will be so one sided they won't be worth watching...second test match will be somewhat competitive and leave us wondering why didn't the boys play like this in the previous matches!

KaEdge will make his boundaries in consecutive deliveries of Roach and Best and this will have striking rate of 400% and contribute valuable 30 runs to provide respectable morning session total.
2. Tamim already got hurt facing Taskin and God knows if he would like to stay few overs against the WI quicks
3. Kopa Shamsu's unique kopa shot can fetch few boundaries for few overs we will get tAste of t20 in test for sure
4. Mominul and Musfiq should come together and stand in top of each other to face the bouncer of 7 ft giants

0-2, perfect time for Mominul.

88.2 Roach to Mominul, 1 run, there it is! Maiden double century for the tiny lad! Good length ball and Mominul rides the bounce as he tucks it behind square and scampers a single. Only 300 balls faced as well. Breathtaking really.

And al Furqaan adds this:

"Mominul has a habit of coming in during a catastrophe and turning on his head, from 8-2 against NZ we posted 501. From an innings defeat we drew against SL on the back of a 4th innings Momin special."

Can't argue with that.

95.6 Roach to Mominul, OUT, slides down the leg side, Young Mominul tries to whip it away and there's a huge cry for caught behind and it's given out! Mominul falls ten short of 250 runs, a great shame for him but he'll surely take the 240 after coming in at 0/2. Mominul was simply unlucky there, it just skidded on as he tried to loft it over cow corner. There was a faint tickle and Ramdin was quick off the blocks. Mominul's innings has gotten Bangladesh to a respectable total.
M Haque c †Ramdin b Roach 240 (460m 350b 60x4 0x6)

Roach leads the team off the field and waves the ball around towards the crowd. What a bowling display he has put up today. West Indies have managed to wrap up the innings after losing the toss, as Bangladesh totally capitulated with pulls, cuts and reckless shots beings played throughout the whole day. 9 ducks in one innings! Must be some kind of record. Somehow Mominul the young Bangladeshi sensation was able to pull some kind of innings out of the hat and have gotten Bangladesh to a par total, with the help of the young tiger Taskin Ahmed hanging on till the very end. It's tea time now but Tamim thinks its lunch time digging his hands into a cooked pot of Biryani. Mmmm...We will be back with you shortly!

I knew there'd be a twist.

Al Furqaan is an extreme optimist and everyone else here is an extreme pessimist.

Should make for an entertaining few games regardless of results

I'm a realist, always been. An optimist would shout for another Caribbean TigerWash. I stand by my 1-2, 0-1, 0-1 (ODIs, garbage, Tests) score lines. BTW, those are results I'd be satisfied with and are realistically achievable. I refuse to make actual predictions because I'd be wrong regardless.

We might be winless this year, but we've actually hardly been blown out. People are acting like we're Zimbabwe getting massacred as soon as the pitch report ends against top sides.

I have to say that was quite good. However Taskin is still not fit enough for Tests.

You talk like a rookie. With experience you will join us soon. Series after series, promises made, never kept. We have learned how to not get hurt any more. Be pessimist. They lose badly it doesn't hurt. Be optimist, they lose terribly...

FYI:
Did you know every World Cup (Football), few people in Bangladesh (never been to Brazil, heck most likely never left Bangladesh) suicide after Brazil loss? And you think Brazilians are fanatic? Talk about extreme optimism and its downfall.

I'm normally very pessimistic but I only start being pessimistic when a match starts. The one time I stopped being pessimistic was in the t20 WC vs Holland and well....

That second paragraph has to be joke. No seriously. Come on. I refuse to believe people would be that reactive unless they were on drugs or something

With Shakib or without Shakib the result would be the same. Some people here thinks with Shakib the result would be different. But I don't think so. Painful tour is coming up. Can't wait to finish even before game is to start.

Actually BD has the most die hard, fanatical supporters of Brazil and Argentina, after their respective countries of course, when it comes to football. There was an article about it on CNN or BBC, can't remember

Edit: It was actually a Time's article http://time.com/2898794/world-cup-so...entina-brazil/

Shamsur has to bat with the mindset that he is the top opener and not tamim
imrul has to bat with the mindset that he is the best, most inform no.3 this country has ever produced
Riyad and Nasir has to bat with the mindset that they are the best allrounders of the country and not some guy called Shakib
Mushy has to lead the side with the mindset that he has the best resources (players) possible to win the match
Gazi has to bowl with the mindset that he is the lead bowler and he has to take half the West Indian side at any cost. If it means considering Ramdin, Bravo, Sammy as Chris Gayle than be it.
Al Amin has to bowl with the mindset that he is Mashrafe ver.1.0.1 from 2001
Robiul has to bowl with the mindset that he is facing Zimbabwe and not West Indies.

only than we can win....

Tamim is back in from. Played more than 100 balls in the practice match. Then had to 'retire hurt' to give chance to other batsmen. So yeah we might not lose by an innings.

I kid you not.

http://www.banglacricket.com/alochon...d.php?p=316337

The Times report that "NoName" linked says another death over Brazil-Argentina supporters clashing in Bangladesh this year. You talk bad about president or priminister, may be a fist fight will break out but others would separate people and that is the end of it. You talk bad about someone's mom same as above, may be the elders would punish the offender. You talk bad about Maradona, the line has been drawn. reinforcement is needed and at the end, police is involved in almost 90% of the time.

It was very common in 80s and 90s. Thankfully no one dies when Bangladesh loses to Hongkong, Afganistan, or Australia. That is how passionately crazy some are for Football. (We are 160th nation in Football, hahaha)
