Default Winnng strategy at Mirpur unlocked?

Must give credit where it is due... Rohit and Kohli showed us how to bat in these conditions. In order to score big or chase down a target, if you go for shot in these bowling pitches early , you will lose wickets and put yourself in a hard position as the new batsmen have to face the wrath of swinging, bouncing balls... We need to be careful against SL tomr and Pak on the 2nd to just bat through till the ball loses it's shine a bit and is no longer swinging... and then the pitch and the wicket is easy to bat on and runs are available.... unfortunately your technique will be tested specially your defence, can you get though the initial phase... also it is aT20 so you cant just block block and block, but if you can get 40 runs on the board without losing a wicket you have a real good chance for a 150-160 provided your midde order doesn't collapse...

I hope the Bangladeshi cricket team has this simple thing figured out from watching all these matches as well as BPL... where the scores above 120 was defendable...

Best chance for us to beat SL tomorrow with their weakened transitioning team. . Need to apply this strategy of batting very sensibly in the beginning and with the openers taking more responsibility than the normal... Tamim is hugely missed as he lends a huge stability at the top and sets up the game for us.... but if Sarker and Mithun understand the risks posed then they should be able to mitigate... Hopefully. ...

Who would have thought we would see this much swing seam bounce and pace in Dhaka? The Tournament is turning out to be the battle of the pacers. Loving these games.

Need to concentrate on singles early on. First few overs it swings a lot but then pitch settles down and because of the true bounce batting gets little easier. So concentrate on getting singles, keep the scoreboard ticking and wait for the right time to strike a few blow. Just like mullah in the last match.

After the fourth or the fifth over the dew starts to negate the swing. Hope the boys were watching. Also, if batting first, the team needs to set realistic targets. Forget about anything over 150 on this pitch. Make sure you don't lose early wickets, rotate the strike as much as possible and then play your shots once settled. That should get you around 140 - anything more is a bonus. Then pitching the ball in the right areas and holding on to catches should translate into wins for us having seen the strength of the Pakistani and Sri Lankan batting line-ups.

They need to watch Kholi's batting in last 5 T20I he played. Easy, play like ODI with no risk and wait for he bad delivery.

Mushy and Shakib is good at it but for some reason they both sucked badly thus far, especially Mushy who can easily have a SR of 100 without taking much of a risk.

amader batsman der aishob dekhar time nai.

Its not as if all these guys didn't see how Tendulkar, Dravid, Sangakara built an innings that they have suddenly to watch Kohli to understand how to respect the conditions. The senior guys have played a lot of international cricket. They are not school kids. But if the coach says respect the conditions you can be sure the openers will turn into Saif and start blocking full tosses. Better to keep things simple and let them play their natural game. Hopefully that will click in the next two games.

I agree, specially Soumya needs to spend some time and dont try one shot too many.
Mithun needs to bat like he did the other day.
Our so called best batsman Mushy needs to do something.
Nurul could be sent early in place of Sakib, may be play a quick cameo.
Sakib should bat at 7.

Agreed, this is how we should play, if we target 140 the RR is only about 7 so you can get that easily just by rotating strike and scoring one boundary in 2 overs.

You never know in a T20 match, so I will still say we need to set a target of 160 to be on the safe side but we need surely to see off the first overs, mainly the shine on the new ball. So if Tamim was there just by bludgeoning a few to the boundary he would have done that, which is why I said he sets up the game for us. That role needs to be taken by someone. Stop the swinging and the bounce of the ball and batting becomes easy, motto of the day.

Sumaya needs to settle his game in T20 regardless of Tamim absence. I hardly see him playing straight drive or cover drive along the ground these days, instead he is always ready to cross hit on leg side over the fielders every ball he face, which is highly risky in early overs and causing his downfall too early.

The longer he can stay the stable BD innings we can get, only a ODI mode innings from him is enough for that. He is a kind of batsman who dont need to do anything extra thinking it is a T20 innings. As an opener, if he can stay longer in the innings he eventually will end up with high srike rate, dont need to play any risky shots in early stage, or at least should minimize playing risky shots.

And one down Shabbir also needs to settle his game plan like Sumaya untill 10th over to give a solid platform of DB innings. A lot depends on this two for BD batting IMO, and they only got two chances against SL and PAK, and must have to click to carry home any hope of Asia Cup final.
