Good thread, feeling sad that still have to wait long :-(
And this pic makes me realize how much our team has changed.
Hope we win it, but it is ODI so one good innings or two bad overs can make a big difference.
So both teams are favorites but BD a little ahead imo.

Nice thread. Wow, the team has changed so much. Who is the player between the Rasel and Kayes [upper row]? And da Rock seems very happy.

According to Isam, Shamsur is the favorite to open alongsides Tamim in the ODI series. And he thought the decision to not include Ayub for ODIs was a bad choice since we don't have a reliable #3.

Gotta disagree with him about Ayub. He's been pretty average in the DPL and is proving to be more of a longer version specialist. Let's keep it that way. Mominul should be the #3 batsman in ODIs.

Also that'd be a bit tough on Anamul. Shamsur did well in the A team tour and the DPL so he's not a bad choice either but why change an opening combo if it's already working pretty well? Hopefully they end up going with Anamul in the end.

Are you kidding me? This is how we plan to repay Anamul, who has the second best ODI average in the team after Nas?

You can't generalize like that with such a small sample size. He only played 7 innings. Take out the century and his avg. drops to 24.7. His last 4 ODI innings are 1,0,13,40, average 13.5.

That being said, he should play 1-2 ODIs. But don't make him as indispensable as Nasir.

Yeah true. I am not saying he is a bad ODI player. I was just saying comparing him to Nasir based on average is not appropriate at this point.

I think his style of play might work and he can get away with limited footwork in ODIs. That's why he should play at least 1-2 ODIs.

To be honest i think he can not get away with limited over cricket over a long period of time, kids hand to eye coronation is excellent, but as he play more ODIs and people takes notice of him opposition teams will look into video footage and make plans for him..and IMHO he'll be a sitting duck with his foot work then if he doesn't improve..he has time on his hand thats one good thing..he'll just have to work really hard and change his fev player
