Default Brendon Taylor goes to Kolpak. Zimbabwe career on hold.

Must be hard for the Zim cricket fans. Their batting lynchpin and test captain will be lost for 3 years and probably forever.

But he has chosen to provide for his family and new born. Must have been a very tough decision.

I assume BD-Zim contest wont be same as before.

In Brendan's case, he has got to make the sacrifice. Over the years we have seen very impressive Zimbabweans appearing in coaching positions for Teams. I think that this will be Taylor's goal as well.

Worthy Adversary

Inflicted some psychological damage to us over the years -http://www.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/match/249205.html

Led Zimbabwe to Tri Series final vs India & Sri Lanka. Got to experience a Test Win vs Pakistan as well and the thrashing(s) he gave us in the longer formats

The Kolpak rule is crap

RIP Zimbabwe...just a matter of time before Williams and any other half decent white player in the setup leaves. ZIM will be an all-black team soon and 80-90% of their talent resides in the white minority population.

Ballance
S Ervine
Jarvis
Cremer
Taylor

List of whites who could have been playing for ZIM. They already struggle to compete with Ireland and Afghanistan and UAE with Taylor and Williams...they will be worse than top Associates now.

ZIM will not be at the next world cup, mark my words. Time to add Ireland as an 11th Test nation.

Basically you can't play internationals for your country for the duration of the contract, but you get the rights to be treated as EU citizen. Something along those lines.

That was an incredibly special knock by Brendan Taylor. The Zimbabwe team won't be the same without him.

Nor will Bangladesh vs Zimbabwe contests for that matter.

^^Oh my, why are you making assumptions. Zims have been our cricketing equal since as long as I can remember. West Indies gave us a good thrashing when Tigers toured last September. Why are you bringing color of skin in this conversation?/

^^Don't bring Pakistan in this thread. We are discussing Taylor's last match for Zimbabwe. His international career is not over though.
