Most important game of the season for the Leafs tonight ? Perhaps... Paul Maurice's bag-skate drills barely went wrong in his Carolina days. Leafs need a statement-making performance tonight at the Swamp.
Mats the Man.
BTW, anyone playing Fantasy Hockey in Yahoo ?

With all due respect to Mats Sundin, I always felt Peter Forsberg to be the better 2-way Swedish center.

Those damned enigmas, otherwise known as the Toronto Maple Leafs, managed to find a way to lose against Jersey last night, which wouldn't do any good to the sentiment of the skittish Leafs nation. The way the game was played, Toronto needed to come out of it with atleast a point, if not two. Tough test tomorrow at Bell Centre... will be a dandy!

Forsberg may have a slight edge in the defensive game, but Mats is THE better overall player. I doubt anyone even in Sweden would doubt that. And ofcourse, Mats is far more durable than Forsberg, which automatically solidifies Sundin's reputation as the icon of Swedish hockey and the face of the franchise of the TML.

Habs will beat us.Stroumboulopoulos will be happy.
If a Canadian team doesnt win the cup in this decade, than this is will be the first decade that ever happened.Hopefully Sens will do something about it.

Well well.. Leafs leave Bell Centre with a good road win. My very dear Stajan babey scored the winner with a minute and something left in the game. Awesome stuff to do to Montreal! BTW, Welly and Bell will be back in the lineup Tuesday against the Sens.

TML should just play the best teams in the league. It seems we can only beat the good teams. The sens, habs and now the best team in the league Detroit. We still have a chance to make the playoffs.
Also Fletcher shouldnt even think about trading Sundin.
Going on now :
Ottawa 5 Habs 0.

Toronto, ON (Sports Network) - Nik Antropov's goal 1:02 into overtime helped the Toronto Maple Leafs stun the Detroit Red Wings, 3-2, at Air Canada Centre.

The leafs are disturbingly enigmatic. A team like theirs have no time to be complacent about other lesser dogs in the league, but an a$$-whopping at the hands of the likes of Panthers n Coyotes appears rather inevitable, whereas outplaying the likes of the Senators, Habs n Red Wings seem to be in the cards - always getting up for games against the higher-calibred teams of the league!
About Mats... ideally, Cliff The Puppet Fletcher should move him to Detroit/Pittsburgh/Philadelphia/Vancouver for a blue-chip prospect, an above-average roster player and a couple of early-round draft picks, and then re-sign him bak in the summer. But Mats isn't going anywhere by the looks of it. Afterall, you cant criticize loyalty.

That was brutal indeed - pretty painful to watch. They're considering neck protection for NHL-ers: http://canadianpress.google.com/arti...jgc8MqKFMvQRCQ

Zednik should've been released from the hospital by now. How long till he comes back to playing ?
Also, the Trade Deadline is around the corner. Million-dollar questions : Will Sundin be moved ? Who'll Carolina go after, now that Brind'Amour is gone for the season ? Is Detroit happy enough with their high-flying team ? How many points will it take for the Leafs to win (pun intended) the 30th position overall ?

There has been rumor going around in local stations about Sundin getting traded to Pens. I don't think that will happen.
