Default Any idea who this cricketer is?

Found a news aon March 3 issue of "Khaborer Antorale" - sports page. I have tried to put a "Banglish" of the news. Apparently, accordingly to this news, a famous TV actress is having a lovey-dovey relationship with a player of our national cricket team.

http://khaborerantorale.com/khela.pdf

March 3 2005 issue.

Tatey Ki?
Jateeo doler ek cricketer naki chutie prem korchhen. premika TV porda'r ek jonoprio nayeeka. Mojar bepar holo cricketer'tir cheye nayeeka boyoshe onek boro. Prothom obosthai ejonno cricketr shara diten na, porobortitet tini 'Majnu' bone jaan. Jana gechhe, TV porda'r ei nayeeka naki cricketr ke bolechhen "Preme kono boyosh nei. Jedin theke tomar haate bat dekhechhi shedin thekei tumi amar moner ~wonderfoo~"

I don't know what "wonderoo" means. Anyway, can you guys (and gals) guess who that player could be? From whatever description we have, I am guessing it is a batsman.

Lets sort out the batsmen who are still unmarried in BD team:

Rajin, Ash, Aftab

I will put Javed, Suman, Nafis and Pilot aside since they are all married and unless this girl dares to do any "porokiya" with one of these blokes.

My best pick for this cricket premik is none other than Masree, but wait...did she not mention "jedin theke tomar haate bat dekhechi"? Does it only mean she fell for a genuine batsman and not a bowler who can also bat a bit?
Hmm..pretty confusing

It you take performance into account, then it must be either Alok or Rokon

I say Alok. Wasn't he voted one of the sexiest cricketers in the world during the last world cup?! That would also explain his form! Yeah, makes perfect sense. Man, he needs to dump the tramp and get his batting in order.

Actually, even though this thread is about a Bangladesh Cricketer, it would be more appropriate to discuss the topic on the Forget Cricket forum, so I'm moving it there!

Default Cricketer\'s affair!

There're many bull s*** newspaper in BD. They often publish baseless yet funny news just for publicity for their business. I remember long ago one so called newspaper's headline was "Khaleda Zia Ma Holen" . Well, the headline must've been very intriguing but the actual news under the headline was that some local BNP leader/MP called Khaleda Zia "Ma" during his speech in a meeting . Often you'd find sources of such news like "naam prokash na korar shorte" or "shocheton mohol er dharona" or "nijoshsho shongbad data", etc. Let's not give too much attention to these types of news.

oh gosh! Its none other than Alok! Ash I think is still not old enough to get into this kinda stuff with an older lady! Plus Rajin is too busy with his workouts. Its Alok Kapali...poor Alok is getting beaten up both in and out of cricket!

well..."jedin theke tomar haate bat dekhechi..." doesn't really imply anything at all. there are many women in bangladesh (and this is very unfortunate ) who would make comments like "rafique ball khub bhalo swing korte pare" or "rajin saleh koyta goal korse?"...

so i'd say it's masree...even if the nayika has basic cricket sense, masree's ability to crush the bowling lower down the order may explain her falling for a guy who can bat

anyways, any predictions on what this newspaper's gonna come up with next?
