This is indeed a good Zimbabwean team!
It's totally ridiculuous and childish to put this Zim team down merely after one game/ one lose!!! It's still their backyard, and we got 4 mre matches to survive!! Based on my team, BD's bad consistency record/history it's me who has to worry/sweat/lose sleep over what will happen in the next match or the one after!!! We, as a team have a job here to do, the first portion of the job is secure the series first, then the other thing and later maybe 2/3 months later we can criticise whether Zim put together a bad or good team!
They field their team, that's their house, their court, our business is to play against that team and win the damn match, one match at a time!

To add to my previous post, look at matches we won against G8 teams (excluding matches in last WI tour). In almost all matches we won, Mashrafe took out the top order and exposed rest of the batting order to his fellow bowlers. One good pacer can make a world of a difference for his team.

Considering how Zim did against us at home...I think they shud do very well in this series...but the first match blunder might give BD that confident boost!!

If this is the best Zim team, then your team management has serious issues with selection.

This was due for me so I am bringing it up after end of the series. Best team may it be for Zimbabuwe but unfortunately for you guys we were better. Well played though.

Zimbabwe now have a pretty substantial batting order that has enough big-hitting in it to post big scores against any opposition if the wicket is flat enough. There's some real talent in the line-up.
Unfortunately they'll continue to have a pop-gun bowling attack for the forseeable future.
Nevertheless, I'll be watching this Zimbabwe team with a lot more interest than I had previously. There's players in this team who've barely seen any international cricket for years and it's hard to gauge what their actual potential is until we see a bit more of them. Once their previously absent white players get back into the swing of international cricket, and the complete revamp they've begun in their first class game starts bringing results, we might be looking back on this series as a bit of an aberration.

yes as soon as they find a few worthy pacers, they will run a lot of big teams close. how many people in world cricket can score 194 in an ODI, regardless of the quality of bowling attack he faces?

Not like every Zim batsmen can score 194 in ODIs. This was his first century and he bettered his mark by 120.
Certainly they are getting better. With Taibu in they will be even better. We on the other hand have progressed leaps and bound.
Tamim > Nafis/Nafees
Zunaed > JO/Rajin/Hannan Sarkar
Ash > Aftab
Shakib > HBashar
We have team where constantly one person is putting up his hands and performing just like the big teams and winning. If Rubel, Mashrafe, Raj, Enam all are healthy we will have a good team that will challenge the big teams consistantly.
