That was 2008. Good call. But Rubel must improve on his economy. Fast bowler hoicho ki maair khawoner lai na maair dawoner lai?

So does Shafiul. He could very well have been a strong contender for Emerging Player of the Year had his economy was in check.

Apparently it fell apart after Ramanayake was drafted in the national team staff.
After Shafi and Rubel, there don't seem to be any good pace prospect in the pipeline.
BTW, what's Robiul Islam up to nowadays? What's going on with Alauddin Babu?

I think he will be playing for Rajshahi this season. I stumbled upon one of the players profile where I saw some pictures. Looked like Khaled Masud took all the Rajshahi players out on a boat, and he was in there.

so happy that i was proven wrong with the arrivals of rubel and shafiul.
hope pont can work on those two and shahadat...and we will have a respectable pace attack to compelement shakib's left arm spin.

Shahadat needs to stop with the drinking/smoking/other stuff. He is apparently the most ill disciplined of our present lot.

Pont can do a world of Good to ...
Abul Hasan Raju
Alauddin Babu
Shubhashish Roy
Robiul Islam
Sajidul Islam
Talha Jubair
Emon Ahmed
Dollar Mahmud
Shafaq Al Jabir
Syed Rasel
our next crop would be ready within six months of tutelage under Ian Pont, would dare say.
With the World cup knocking at the door, Pont should focus on the pacers, where he specializes, before the next dawn!!!!
We badly need at least 4 of these guys ready as back-up to our current squad.
