Default Ramadan 2013

Ramadan Mubarak everyone.

Most likely starting from July 09th this year - the most blessed and spiritually beneficial month of the Islamic calendar.

I'm all excited and scared ... just check the timing .... going to be long!
Day 1 looks like this:
Sehri ends - 3:52am
Iftar starts - 9:50pm

Discuss your Ramadan & of course Iftar!
Are you ready?

Why? I like Ramadan - everyone in Dhaka is a lot nicer - plus we never have meals as a family anymore, iftaar gives the whole family an excuse to sit together and spend a bit of time.

Ramadan in Dhaka is always special ... everyone in the family get together and have Iftaar ...
I used to go chowk bazar (to buy iftaar) at least once in every Ramadan.

Ramadan Mubarak everyone. Iftar in NY will be at 830. Really excited. .We must remember that Ramadan is not about fancy Iftars and starve to lose body weight. This month is about self control and charity. Hope and pray that we all get to make this month count...

Ramadan Mubarak to everyone. A blessed month is upon us where --

*Doors of heaven are open, doors of hell are closed, devils are chained down.

*Rejoices: There are two types of rejoices for the Muslims who fast. These are:
When breaking fast
When meeting Allah (SWT) on the day of Judgment

*Multiplication of Rewards: Doing good = 10x, 70x, 700x or more during the month of Ramadan.

*Feeding Others: Whoever invites others to break the fast, and whoever takes care of the hungry, needy, during Ramadan will receive equal rewards to the fasting person(s).

*Blessing of Iftar: Dua is accepted by ALLAH (SWT) at Iftar time

and many many more..
