How come Zim has more matches then us?
I was looking at the Tigers Tour fixtures for the rest of the year. After the India series BD has an away series against SRL which will end in July and then nothing else for the rest of the year?
How could the ICC come up with a yearly fixture like this? Even Zimbabwe has more cricket than us after the world cup. This is just crazy. That means for 5 months the players will only play the domestic league. We won't even have Zimbabwe coming over because AUS, WI and SA will be touring them at that time.

No they will not play more games than us. they will only play 9 ODIs and 2 tests. Officially equals to 19 days of Intl cricket.
We will play minimum of 6 ODIs and and may be 5 tests (4 test is sure). 26 days of international cricket which could increase to 31 days.
Ah, the five month you are talking about, we have a twenty/20 WC and a rainy season. Players do need off you know.

Moreover, NZ is not complaining. They have 8 ODIs and 2 test in the same time frame. Which is even less than Zimbabwe.

we should reschedule that tour of NZ that we never got...
5 month breaks are too much...if the players want breaks, perhaps we can just have test only tours...tho that won't garner much dough

Our players are playing almost non-stop cricket from February til July. In September they have twenty20 WC also. I think it is good that they are taking a break in Oct 07- Feb 08.
Also, that is the period for domestic leagues. Our domestic cricket have suffered a bad slump this year because of the absence of both national team and A-team players. Now we have a chance to revive it next season.
All in all, this should be a welcome break for Bangladesh cricket to rethink our strategies and regroup the national team, more so if we have to get a new coach and a captain (may be a new opening batsman too).

New Zealand's had plenty more tours than us. They'll be happy with a rest.

With the amount of cricket we've got this year, specially with the types of opponents we're playing now, it doesn't make any sense complaining about anything now. We've been crying for quality opponents...and now that we've got it, we're asking for more matches than Zimbabwe.
Anyway, I'm happy with whatever we have...even if it's less than Zimbabwe's.
