I may rest Mahbubul (keep him fresh for the test series) and bring in Talha just to see if he has really improved or is his recent performance just a fluke. As most of us here would agree he is the most unluckiets BD bowler when it comes to injury.

keep most of the team for the warm-up match imo but bring in another pacer (either rubel, subashis, robiul, sajidul or delwar) and a spinner (one of the ones who's done well in the current NCL season or an allrounder type like shuvo, marshall, nasir, riyad would also be interested in seeing how saju datta would do as i've heard some good things about him).

but imo keep most of the national team in the warm-up match, only rest those who physically or mentally need a rest otherwise play them so they get experience. definitely play imrul and naeem because they need to find some form and they also need to fight for their spots in the team.

it's an inexperienced team so i think it's better to play them for the experience rather than bring in even more players.

I agree with Gowza..no point playing players who won't be in the team within the next few months. But also, there is no point in playing players in the form for the national team (except ash). I don't want Lankans to figure them out before series starts. I also do not want to play good bowlers like Mash and Sakib. Don't want the lankan batsmen to run into form.

why ashraful not in team, i think his batting failure has a lot to do with him not practicing, practically all of Bangladesh team went to England this summer except Ashraful and Mortaza, Nafees and a couple of others, i am seriously sick and tired of seeing Ashraful throw away his wicket, so i think he should need more batting practice than anyone else, so keep him in warmup game.

Does any of u remember sangakara's comment after the 1st test against SL in 2002 where talha claimed 2 wickets?he said that bangladesh was underestimating talha.do u remember the ball in which talha bowled chris gayle on da dead pitch of dhaka with a gem which is still one of most amazing balls i've ever seen.i remember it was showcased in a espn program as the best bowled of the month.he is the best bowling talent bd has ever produced alleast in the longer version.he is in form now after all those years.so he must be given a chance in da warmup match.

desperately need to test out a spinner.

at this point, i will settle for an economical one for ODIs.

i really don't think we'll miss razzak much in tests. enam jr will either be better or just as ineffective. we will miss razzak's economy in the one dayers, and have to find a spinner to bowl 10 solid overs.

thank god, sakib has emerged as a wicket taker in Tests and ODIs (more of a containment ODI bowler).
