Good frustration thread! I am kind of relieved that there are no Bangladesh matches, so I can enjoy cricket once again.
I gave F to the over all team.
if there is a grade called Bhua, I would give that to them.
Z Bhai how come the coach is spared?

Shakib - for performance he should get B.
Mushfique: his batting performance he may get B.
Zia: please note fielders dropped three catches during his bowling.
I think C for Zia is right.

not sure how Gazi gets an D ,Zia gets an C but SHakib gets an D.

Its true Zia didnt get that many game but those ones he got chance he did nothing. Gazi got few fair chances but he was very expensive and couldnt perform his role. Whereas Shakib played some good innings with bat and ball. Just because of his off field comments how does a D justify his on field performance..

Is it fair if a grader goes back and changes a grade - increase is ok but to lower it?

I'm having a change of heart about Tamim and Mash.

Mash goes up.

A grade scale of Z is needed.

One of the Bangladeshi had suggested:

We pool in some money and invite the entire BD team to tour US cities. Tobay shorto hoilo: The first city they would stop by is Little Rock, Arkansas. We would rent a room with only one entrance for them, get them all in there at once and then turn the light off. We would then proceed with the night vision goggles and danda. Free style uttom-maddhom. If one of us gets tired, others will replace them.

This is for all the sleepless nights we went through and missed work or was late at work. The emotional distress ta overlook korbo apatoto.

Chanda ki tula shuru korbo?

Selectors: FFF

Not competent enough to identify or understand talent and skills required for a particular format. Sabbir shoudl have been identified as a key player long before the CWC, groomed and given as many games as possible to ease into the international circuit. Instead they wasted the precious opportunity with the likes of Mithun who neither has the required skills nor the temperament. Same could be said about the non-inclusion of Arafat Sunny or even Taijul Islam. Zia's non-selection was even more baffling.

Coach: F

Don't have much info in this section. But, the team failed miserably and, therefore, coach's role should be called into question. What were the game plans/roles for individual players as well as the team? Why so many players have been out-of-form at the same time and for such long duration? Why the team has been so low in confidence collectively over such a long period?

Captain: D (Just)

We should cut him some slack. The key players were out of form. Easy catches dropped and terrible fielding have cost matches or negated the possibilities of being competetive. Contrary to popular opinions he was much more pro-active and attacking in his field placing. Having said that, his rotation of bowlers were poor at crucial match situations and generally stuck to the "script". His not picking or giving a long run to a (potentially) T20 specialist like Sabbir demonstrates the weaker side of his role as a captain.

Key players

Tamim the "batsman": FFF

Lazy and unfit with a misplaced arrogance (stupidity). We could safely say Tamim Iqbal Khan is ordinary. Infact, he has been utter crap and was lucky to get all the matches. He should have been dropped.

Tamim the fielder:

The saving grace -couple of brilliant catches. He was always a good fielder. Lack of fitness and attitude will soon affect this, too.

Anamul: B (-)

The boy has talent, skills and temperament. Must work harder and stop talking to the media before he knows better.

Shakib: C (-)

Was okay with the ball and average with the bat. Terrible fitness (ran out of gas after 10 overs)! There should be a muzzle on him talking to the media.

Little Mushy: C (-)

Best batter after Anamul in the tourney. Threw away his wicket at crucial times on two occasions and, also, slightly out-of-form.

Nasir: FFF

TOTALLY out-of-form. Lacks attitude and intelligence.

Mahmudullah: D

Yours typically.

Gazi: FFF

The boy suffers from Tamimgitis and has a chip on his shoulder. Terrible athelete and one of those who needs to be spoon-fed.

Mashrafe: C (-)

A true tiger. Don´t know any other sportsman in the world who had four major surgeries and still competed in a major world event! His losing so many pounds and becoming fitter is a true testimony to his commitment and courage -given our cultural context. Except that one very poor outing he was good.

Razzak: FF

Should seriously consider retirement. Lacks motivation and spirit. This is cricket, man.

Al-Amin: B

The boy has promise and talent. I suspect a potential attitude issue. Must work harder and managed and monitored by the "management".

Team Bangladesh: FFF

disagree with grades given to Sakib, Zia & Tamim.
-Sakib should get a B or a C, why would you give less mark to a player based on what he said in an interview. , Sak is still the top scorer for the team.
-And why C to Zia ? it's too khoyrati ,should have been a D atleast.
-Tamim should get a F, I know he is not inform although he was showing good form in WUps , but what bothered me is he couldn't give us a flying start with a 10 ball 24 or something, I mean is it too much to ask ?
-I will give E to Mushy, Mash & Ryad.

Good teachers should not have to regrade and I think it might be unfair to downgrade. I've in the past been flexible with grading when I taught - I always gave my students an opportunity to work out a bad grade when at the end of the semester they could demonstrate to me they understood the material. And, no, I never graded on a curve. At the university level you really should not be doing it.

Yeah Tamim should definitely get F and Shakib deserves B because it was for his superb bowling against HK we qualified for the super 10.

Liked Mufi's grading on audience
