Default Talking in advance: Blame Sujon for not winning a match against Zimbabwe

This is the first time ever that we will go on a tour on a particular country where we have gone earlier. I am talking about the Zimbabwe tour.

The last time when we were expecting to win a match or two, in Zimbabwe, the team management (at the time which included Trevor Chappell, Naimur Rahman and probably Imran Sarwar) started all this rubbish of playing Akram Khan and playing Aminul Islam only in tests. Akram Khan was given a last opportunity in Zimbabwe in which he eventually failed.

But 2 years later, during the 2003 World Cup, he was brought back after the very poor performance of all the new players of Bangladesh in place of injured Mashrafee Bin Murtoza for the sake of playing and winning in only one last match remaining (hope for beating) against Kenya.

So lets not start all those things all over again and start thinking about how we can beat Zimbabwe from now on. And for that purpose, we have a tough job on our hands - as an experiment basis, in addition - the extra advantage that we have in this case is that we have the exact opposition who were beaten by Zimbabwe on quite a number of occassions mostly at home and a few times (probably once) at away venues (for Zimbabwe).

So how many of you agree with me that we should not make any whole-sale changes to the current Bangladesh team?

We should keep Javed because of his experience there. Other than that keep same combo as Pak tour but with more emphasis on pace. Useless to talk about cap change cause it won't happen. Zim are'nt that weak as made out to be, just look at their screcard today. This Taibu fellow khaibo.

Zim played well to get around the initial disaster... WI doesnt have a really amazing bowling attack now... but they still got wickets... It was more like Zim giving away wickets as pre christmas gifts

We really shudnt underestimate Zimbabwe... They wont be easy although their game has been declining... a really close eye shud be kept on the WI-Zim series to make some good evaluation of our next opponents... I am very sure Dav is doing so... I just hope BD gets some useful pointers so that they can be heads up in the zim tour... I guess that is valid for Zim as well as they will have a decent look at the BD team's last performances... a rather detailed one I am afraid with so many series that BD played recently....

I agree with one point that

We have even a worst bowling attack. The only difference (between West Indies and our bowling attack is) being we have only 1 spinner who can take 5 wicket to 10 wicket hauls whereas West Indies has 2 Mashrafees (from the looks of the speed of the fast bowlers) - and we have only 1 Mashrafee.
