I think to play U19 cricket you have to be under 19 at the start of the U19 International season. AFAIK the 2009 season began in February with England U-19s tour to South Africa. Rony is 19 years 300 days old at the moment and in February he would've around 19 days 200 days old so I believe he will not be eligible to play for Bangladesh U19s. Mithun maybe eligible as he is only 19 years 40 days old and so will be Rubel Hossain and Nadimuddin, who is still 18.

I will also be looking forward to Mahmudul Hasan who is likely to be the new U19 captain, Amit Majumder and Taposh Ghosh. Shovagoto Hom is another youngster who has been performing in the DPL but does anyone know how old he is?

Good that the U19s are having some practice out there in the field. Many of these guys are doing good in the DPL.

We also need some tours/home matches for the 'A' Team, or else good boys from the U19s will not get the chance to mature before being called for the national team. infact ATM most of our players go direct to the national team from U19 level.

Have we announced our U-19 team? This should be a good contest for our boys.

Are our U-19 on training aside from League match practices at present? Where is K.M. Shujan ...where are other officials who were involved with our training plan. The core players should have been together to build solid team approach. Are these all forgotten .....if yes since when....why....?

well stated, these incompetent officials are good at lip servicing in front of TV cameras and they get paid. Otherwise, most of the time they are good by luck and because no body can challenge them for political reasons, there are no professional competitors.

These officials are true obstacles to our cricket improvement.

why aren't they official U19 tests which are 4 dayers?

also, Under 19 means "under 20" really...it means 19 and under, AFAIK.
