BCB will use our national cricketers' performances (or lack thereof, God forbid) in determining their salaries for the next contract period.

this is a terrific idea. it ensures that guys like ashraful will give the NCL their utmost efforts.

my question is, has this been done before? and if not, why did take BCB so long to figure out this simple thing?

Actually, since NCL pays way too little, most players are not motivated enough to play well in it. In that way, this will probably help keep the contest highly professional.

I hope they take some more innovative measure for the non-national players too.

Project Planning:
Step 1 (a): Plan (Budget, work flow, employees duties etc.)
Step 1 (b): Make sure one has alternative plans in case of emergency.
Step 2: Implement the plan in to processes.
Step 3: Continuous modification of the existing plan to make the processes better.
Step 4: Test for quality control and delivery timing (meeting schedule).

Really we are at the very begining of a project which may finish in five years where we would see good sound cricketers coming out and performing consistantly.

For BD, BCB must have alternative plans. National players only will play part of NCL. Few games here and there are not a perfect to judge a players whole year salary. There should be other methods attached to this plan.

This plan is good and only the first step towards having a better domestic cricket arena.

i think its a great idea, plus important matches should be televised. That will put more weight on the game and it will show how much pressure our national players can take infront of mass media.

how does anyone feel about a new sports channel dedicated to cricket only for the bangladesh team? when we don't play they can show our previous performances.

Neo Sports had an agreement of televising important domestic matches in Bangladesh, but they are too busy serving the Indian domestic cricket.
