Default Mental issue more than anything

Over the years watching bd cricket, these guys suffer from mentally than anything else. This is a serious issue and not to be laughed away. All these chokes, we learn nothing. Apply a bit of pressure and we break down.

I agree with you.

We cannot perform under pressure that is why we have never chased too many big scores. Unfortunately, no amount of training or tampering will help you improve the mental side of thing.

We also need to have two bowling allrounders at 8 and 9

Dont think so, BD won everything last year.

This goes much deeper, cant fathom why or how a team this professional struggles this badly with pressure. vs India and now today, 99% of teams would've won those games from those positions, even Malaysia.

We're still new to winning. Only started winning last year and then had a long break.

I see this all the time in soccer/football. Takes time and wins to establish a winning mentality/culture and confidence.

Sigh... Guys missing key pointerd why we lost the game.

1. Mashrafe was never in the game today, his captaincy after a long time was ordinary. He didnt place cover for the countless reverse sweeps to the boundary. Too many lapses in concentration. Didn't handle the bowlers well.
2. Team selection, already said this we had too many passengers in today's team. Bangladesh had been winning against teams like SAand India because of match winners. Thay seriously lacked today, Mosharraf and even Shafiul added lack of depth and attacking options and overall skill level went down of the team just with their inclusions.
3. Batting order and important vacancies. From the time Shakib lost wicket we didn't have anyone in the lower order. Mosaddek is inexperienced and it was way too soon to rely on him to finish.
4. Pathetic fielding. One of the worst I have seen ever. Could have been even worst had Shabbir not been there.
5. Over complacency. They didn't learn from Bengaluru, history just repeated itself.

I think overall England deserved to win because they played better cricket all around, but if we can make minor adjustments and not make stupid errors we should win the next 2 matches. Let's see if we do learn or not.

Remember guys, it's the match winners that win you matches. Pick the 11 right from top to bottom that WIN you matches. Something we didn't do today.

BD fans celebrated this one too early.

Now they get to feel how Mushfiqur Rahim felt vs India at the T20 WC

Yeh, we would have saved around 40-50 runs if Mash put a fielder to stop those constant reverse sweeps.

Abul, yes. Reza? Stay miles away.

Abu Hider Rony has potentials to be bowling, late order hitter too. BD needs to groom Abuls and Hiders. Hope Think tank realize the need of pace bowling, batsmen who can hit some useful runs.

Every right to cheer and think we had this game. Come on... Less than 40 needed off 50 or whatever it was, shakib pounding it all over. BD's game to lose and we did by gifting it. Don't dig at fans. Fans will celebrate its just the nature lf being fans.

We needed someone like Miraz, Muktar Ali, Sohag Gazi really at the bottom. With batsman till 8 and 9 you can out bat oppositions and chase stiff totals
