"Modern Bride" needs your vote.

Folks, my shalika (Natasha Khan) has been nominated as one of the top ten finalists of the Modern Bride of the year 2009 contest for the Modern Bride Magazine. The top five will be featured in the Tyra Banks show and the magazine. You can vote once every hour so vote as many times as you can and asks your friends and family members todo the same. Bride and groom are both from Bangladesh.

Interesting thing about the origin of the word Shalika - it means "flute" in Sanskrit. The boy equivalent of the name is abhayaDiNDima, which means "war-drum". I am not sure why these musical terms were used to signify son/daughter.
