The test team
yeah I know that there are way too many practice matches left to get the idea on everybody's form. But here goes anyway:-
1. Hannan Sarkar
2. Shahriar / Al Shahriar
3. Habibul Bashar (c)
4. Rajin Saleh (vc)
5. Mohammad Ashraful
6. Alok Kapali
7. Khaled Mashud (wk)
8. Mushfiqur Rahman
9. Mohammad Rafique
10. Tapash Baisya
11. Monjurul Islam
Isn't the above our best eleven for tests?

Yes, a good team!
-Why can't we put Ash at 4 slot. Does'nt Rajin plays better together with Alok.
-Shariar should start the 1st test match.
-Start thinking about a Nightwatchman-
Mushfique?

why is rokon back as opener ? I noticed he opened the second match as well. I thought he was going to shore up the middle order and can be a backup to the openers.
although i like this team, not sure if whatmore will play monju.
in the odi lineup, i'd like to see rana in there, possibly in place of the 6th batsman. he couldn't be there in place of mushfiq because we need 3 pacers (or do we?)

yeah..This is the team, though i will go with shariar hossain to open in the test series.
It will be nice if alok and ash can become valuable partners in the spin dept to support and spell rafiq. Rajin occassionaly as well.

Unless Kapali can do good in the upcoming two (Namibia and Zimbabue A) 3 day matches, he should be replaced by Rana in tests.
Other than that, this is the test team.

I want to add the first test match in there, too.
After the first test match, if we see that Kapali is not doing well with the bat in either of the innings, then we can drop Kapali.

ONe thing about the first class stats - Rana played more first class matches in BD then Kapali and hence was playing against much much weaker opponent so we can not rely much on the stats. Rana at this momnt seems like a better option then Alok as Alok's has been off for a long time now.

Fwullah's team looks good to me (with Bidyut at opener) but Rafiq bhai is right, Monju probably won't get in under Whatmore. Monju is not aggressive enough for Test cricket, or atleast that what Whatmore feels and I can bet he will go with someone like Tareq ahead of Monju.
