Bangladesh would have given the tournament a good shakeup.

They need to generate their lost self confidence. And equally importantly, the prospective bunch needs to be nurtured and prepared for International exposure.

But yes, not the same old Australia for sure.
Yeah Australia have a lot of good talent but their balance is way off. Selection process isn't consistent. I think they need to differentiate which players should play in what formats. Warner isn't an ODI batsmen. He struggles to change gears sometimes. He is only a test and T20 batsmen.

Also Australia keep ignoring the classy Callum Ferguson who has scored everytime he was asked to. He is a very versatile batsmen that can switch gears (almost like a Nasir Hossain). He can bat at #7 or at #3 which he has for his state team. The inclusion of Adam Voges has been a real good one.

Michael Clarke really needs to take initiative because he is Australia's go to batsmen. He shouldn't be batting at #5 waiting for everyone to get out. He needs to be up the order and setting the platform for everyone else in the team. Heck he could even open for Australia if he wanted to because he has an average of 55 as an opener in ODIs.

If he does bat up the order then Australia will play with a lot of confidence because they are lacking a batsmen at the top of the order that will take ownership. Australia are having too many collapses at the top of the order. George Bailey has been very good for Australia. He reminds me of a better version of Mahmudullah.

Australia's Best XI
1. Shane Watson
2. Phillip Hughes
3. Michael Clarke
4. George Bailey
5. Adam Voges
6. C. Ferguson
7. Brad Haddin
8. James Faulkner
9. Mitchell Johnson
10. Mitchell Starc
11. Clint McKay

A much better and balanced team imo.

Australia shouldn't have dumped Katich, Brad Hodge and David Hussey while the new guys were trying to find their feet. They should have waited till two or three of the new faces settled in and started performing. Right now the middle order looks non existent.

To add to that, Mike Hussey should have stuck around a bit more. He is still a quality player in prime form.

Finally cricket is up on Streak for the Cash!! If you want to kill some time follow the discussion section during the game, you'll see confused Americans trying to figure out what the heck is going on.

The first knock-out (virtually) coming up between SA and PAK. These two teams were the favourites to begin with!!

You cannot write off PAK till the last ball is bowled. Let the shine deteriorate and see how the evening unfolds. The problem is PAK and English condition have some chemistry to cherish.

Also you should consider the opponent as well, they also have a part to play to make the game more unpredictable..
