Why don't you put an ad on the national news papers for the post of the medium pace all rounder?

Farhad Reza is way too nervous to be able to handle international cricket.

As for Mahbubul - one fluky innings doesn't make you a decent batsman. And his bowling? I bet I could get a few big hits in on his juicy 120 km length balls.

Farhad Reza is not a good all rounder that i know. But his first class batting career is excellent average above 36 bowling average 25.His list a career batting 20.4 and bowling average 29.If we dont have any good quality medium pace all rounder in that case he can serve as a batting all sounder like Mahmudulah. And i am sure if he can perform his previous level he will be able to make a place in national team as the place is vacant.Do we have any other medium pace all sounder?

Need genuine Fast Bowler/Medium Pacer and Spinner.

We already have enough bits and pieces all-rounder like Nayeem, Riyad and even Farhad. No more of these. We badly need some wicket taking specialists in bowling area.

I can guarantee Farhad Reza's failure in the international arena. He's that bad in my opinion. And no, we don't have any pacer all-rounders. Quite sad really. They all seem to spinning allrounders.

And I guarantee that if he get chance again, he will prove you wrong again. And that is based on his past record of him in the team. But what I am not sure is if he will indeed make it to the national team again. The team is loaded with all-rounders who are doing ok right now.

There is a tendency among some fans to discount young players too early forgetting that inexperienced players have room to grow with experience. What we need to see is sign of improvement as they get more experienced.... are they improving or moving in a circle...are they learning from their mistakes or not..are they raising their performance in key moments or not?

For example we already know what we can get from Ashraful or Mashrafee or Rasel or Razzak. But its too early to say that we already know what Dollar, Naeem, Junaid, Robin, Rubel or farhad can give in future. These players are still developing.

In the past we prematurely tagged Shakib as too slow a batsman and his spinning is not TEST caliber; or Tamim is not good for TEST and has lots of limitation to be successful long term, or Dollar is bhua and no good, or Farhad's bolwing is way way below par and no good, or Riad is noo good either with bowling or batting and he is too slow as a batsman to be successful in ODI and he is no TEST calibre player, etc, etc.... these all proved wrong (so far) as they are/were progressing nicely and proving us wrong.

So please don't discount these young players before they have the opportunity to grow. Now should Farhad be in the team immediately? That where we agree... he should pay his due and make a case and wait for his chance before he gets his another chance. But guaranteeing that he will be a failure when he is in the team? That's where we disagree. Its too early to say one way or other.

All of following Dollar,Ziaur,Mahbubul Alam can bat a bit but none of them r true all rounder.Doller's domestic batting everage is around 14.Same to Zia.Mahboobul Alam's batting career is poor but it seems he has decent batting technique. All have good domestic bowling record. So they can be bowling all rounder like great Mash.Even if they practice more they can bat better as all of them r young. But at present any other option we have?

I think we have too many allrounders in the teama anyway.
Saki,Ryad,Naeem,Mehrb,Ash(a bit),Mash(the only pace alrndr).
Which means in a regular Bd team we got atleast 5 allrounders.
Why would we need more?
Isn't it better to have a fulltime & top quality pace bwlr?We desperately need a reliable pacer.
We just need to polish Rubel,Dolar,Shahdt,Robin & others.

I was thinking about Aftab when he got five wickets, I believe against KIWIS, in Chittagong, and scored some runs but then he became a disappointment as usual.

If Reza can perform well in domestic league, he will replace one of Naeem/Riyad in the playing eleven.

Every great team must have a pacer all rounder. we already have a world class spinner allrounder in the form of SAH. If we can find someone like Jack Kallis/Andrew Flintoff, and to some extent players like Rana Naved[dont underestimate this guy, he really grew as a batter recently], Shane watson etc.
An allrounder does wonders to the balance of the team, just think of SAH. Whenever he plays in the team we can play an extra bowler/extra batsman depending upon the situation and conditions. If we had a pace allrounder, than we could go places.
P.S. I dont consider Nayeem/Riyad/Mehrab as 'all rounders' they are all 'bit of a batsman, bit of a bolwer"

isnt ziaur Rahman scored a blistering century in last 20/20 league? i think there are some more example

dollar's batting was good in A team or under 19 level. he made couple 50 plus innings.

i think farhad reza has potentiality of becoming true allrounder--if he gets chance

only all rounder ATM is mashrafe mortaza.

I fully support Naved if we had one medium pace all rounder in last Zim and WI ODI series we could perform well.To face the g8 we need it badly.in last ODI russel and Doller had to do 16 overs in a row and they were exhosted.so we need some one badly.
