To the BD cricketers:

Our prayers will be with you. May God have mercy on you. The miseries will end soon within the window of 8 hours (2 hours transportation back and forth, 2 hours practice, 3 hours of play, 1 hour of post match) and you can go back to your charlotte home, take a warm bath and cry it out in the bed. Hopefully it will relieve some pain.

To our fans:

The optimistic ones - keep dreaming.
The ones who think we will win - as someone stated in this thread, get your heart checked by a cardiologist. Too many of them happening specially in soccer world cups and no one wants these to be repeated.
The ones who Believe - Pray to God for rain.

I think Tamim, Mushi and Riad will do well against this Aussie bowling attack. They are technically better n experienced. Specifically Riad is in good form.

Looks like Aussie is unstoppable. They are brutal , merciless. Now I think bd needs to be very careful here. I think bd should bat first and play 15 overs care fully without loossing too many wickets. If Aussie bats first, this would be a carnage; may be chasing 360+. This ll ruin our run rate. I ll would take 230 plus if we bat first.

We should play a smart game here.

Warne just said against team like Australia you need to bat first. Dont loose wickets at the beginning, fire in last 10 overs. Aim to put up 250 ; then bowl well n field brilliant. You might have a chance. If aussie bats first n put up massive total, you out of the game already. So give yourself some chance by batting first.

M.Marsh. replacement for Faulkner demolishing Engthats how gd is Aus right now.

Tbf we should bat first put up 150-200 and let them chase to in 30 overs. Otherwise if they bat first and put on 350+, it will affecr our nrr badly

I expect a new world record total to be set in this world cup in excess of 450 and closer to 500. Didn't get to watch Eng-Aus match but seeing they were down 70/3 at one point and still managed close to 350 against one of the best bowling attacks strengthens my conviction. They didn't even spare Moin Ali who's a decent off spinner and has been bowling pretty well recently. Aus or NZ have a good shot at breaking the record and by a good margin whether it's against us, the Scots, or Afg. In the other group if SA gets going they could break it even against Ind. So we have to bat first against them to avoid being on the wrong side of history. Most important thing is to check the helmets first and make sure they're in immaculate condition and then unleash Tamim and the beast inside Anamul that's been hiding for too long and hope for the best.

I was watching Mitchel Starc's bowling the other day. Amazing combination of pace & bounce. I just wonder how the Bangladeshi batsmen would tackle him.

Simply no need to attack or be aggressive on his bowling watch and play carefully

It's like a free point, from the divine hand, on a platter.

On one hand, missing a game from only 5 more left is a big lose of entertainment, but somehow the possibility of a point against the Aussies are too tempting. See, if we get that, all we would need is just one more win against the other 3 teams (Scotland is a must of course) to get to QF.

For BD's sake, I'd say: "Release the hounds!". BD batsmen need to face quality pace at the Gabba for their own self-development. And I'd love to see Mash, Rubel and Taskin go at the Aussies at the Gabba, get pummelled, and learn from it. And Mash should go nuts with his imagination in setting the field to stymie and attack the Aussies as best he can.

All this just because Australia at this point is a merciless behemoth, and I want our boys to grit their teeth and put up a fight! They can only perfect themselves against the best. The outcome of the match is irrelevant!

Test of character. Proper test. Playing with the best.

Hold no fear go Bangla play like fearless Tiger!

No shame in Lossing to the Australians who have humiliated India (the current WC champs) for 4months or so down under.

I want to see BD playin this with 4 Seamer's. Alamin has to be bought in for either Anamul or Mominul.

I am not worried if we lose or its rained out which it will be.
Am worried for queenslanders as they have been through these cyclone disasters before, loss of life, loss of houses, flooding,it really looks bad.

As an australian little worried for the game,we can make up points later when we play other sides.
BTW congrats on beating afghanistan, saw bangladesh bat but slept when afghanistan batted.Well done.
BTW its only a sport.
