Not even among the top 19 who were nominated??
Irrespective of the opponents, he took more wickets than anyone which included a career best of 6-26. He had, almost single handedly ( beside rafiq), spearheaded what is otherwise a mediocre bowling attack of Bangladesh.
I find it quite amusing that he was not even nominated.
Disgrace i say.

So you find it funny.....and disgraceful?

Shakib blew his chances by getting on soccer mia's bad side, and consequently failing to perform well against India and Sri Lanka. Chillabilli koira kam hoibona ...

Well, at least Mushy and Sakib were noticed to be nominated, even if they do not win it,
I really like Mushy, he is such a gem of a young fella. I was impressed by him in the World Cup. I watch just because of him, he was always gungho and gelled the team. He kept the fielders on their toes.

Amusing, more in the sense of dis-believe.

Amusing in a paradoxical way.

How come Mushi is out? On what basis? In my eyes, he is one of the most promising young emerging players, not because I like him, but because he has the makings of a very good wicketkeeper and batsman.

Unsurprisingly, Tait took the award:
EDIT: DANG! Beat me by one minute!

Tait takes Emerging Player Award
Shaun Tait has won the ICC Emerging Player of the Year, the first award to be announced at the Awards dinner in Johannesburg. He beat of competition from Ravi Bopara, Saqib-ul-Hasan and Ross Taylor. Tait, who pulled out of the ICC World Twenty20 through injury, wasn't able to collect his award in person and it was picked up for him by Mike Hussey.

eta jana kothai.. they will not give any awards to the bangladeshi players.. sakib is averaging 39 and took 32 wickets but still thats not important. Tait, who is a fast bowler with full of wides balls got the award. hes from australia thats important and he should get it. simple

Apparently, Sakib finished 3rd behind Tait and Bopara in voting. Ross Taylor came 4th.

Bopara didnt even get a single vote. so get your facts right
Sakib has made much more match winning innings, and bopara's bowling is a joke compared to sakib's.
