he just demonstrated how easy the wicket is for batting, all you need to do is find gaps & middle it.
He is a genuine Test batting material, all his shots were amazing, I hope he gets a hundred and a big one is required as we gave way too many.
The commentators kept saying this was a fantastic ODI innings, imagine if he becomes this good in ODIs, we will become a very tough team to beat.

I admit I was wrong in wanting Naeem over Momin. I'm happy he did well and always knew he had ability.
Lets hope he concert this in to a 100

I don't think you were wrong to want Naeem in the team. Whether that could have been in place of Marshall or Mominul is a different question. I don't think Naeem is any more or less capable than these two in home conditions. From an outsider's PoV, the logical thing to do would be to sandwich some experience between all the inexperience in the middle order. The management must have seen something in Marshall and Mominul to pick them ahead of Naeem, but I doubt our management notices these things (e.g. Rajib/Abul chucking pies for decades yet not getting dropped). Then again, Riyad got dropped, so who knows, maybe things are changing and Shane J is actually a genius.
It is important that both of these guys now capitalize on this opportunity. Mominul needs to get that hundred and Marshall needs to break the nervous 20's, 30's and 40's curses cast upon the #3 position by Mr. Clemon.

Ya agreed with everything you said. Team management mustve seen something in Marshall and Mominul.
And it seems that coach Jurgs is starting to understand our players better and putting them in different roles which is good to see

As far as I known management was thinking about Naeem in middle order for his experience. But SLA + Legi combination of NZ attack invited a lefti and Mominul got the nod.

Might have missed out on a double but brilliant innings nonetheless.

I'd love to see him convert his next big test 100 on a flat track to a 200 and beyond after this important experience. Only time will tell. Too many variables can make him go sideways even before he gets married or starts hanging out with Tamim, Shakib and British American Tobacco.

very nice innings from mominul, a bit of a shame he didn't convert it to the double ton but for someone who is just playing their 4th test match 181 is a terrific score especially since it was his first test ton as well.

In few years, our batting lineup will be better than that of SL, Pak, WI when big guns like younis khan, Misbah, Chanders, Sanga and Jayawardene retire
