Actually it was first used by moi, I had it with transparent background. Then GuruTM started using it, and now our Kabir bhai as well.

Not that I am saying it was made by me, as Kabir bhai said "popularly available on the internet" and people just started using.

As I mentioned it earlier, the avatar is freely available on the internet. It's been used by many others on BC even before I joined. The only thing that's unique in mine is the background color...so nobody should take that.

I haven't noticed someone using it before me, therefore i started using it. I think you guys have stopped using that logo even before i have joined this forum. As for kabir i don't really know. I know there is no rules about it, but usaully two members don't use the same logo at the same time. To me it seems somewhat like theft of identity. I have a feeling some members make the mistake of thinking myself as kabir and vice versa. Which really doesn't suit my taste.

There's nothing I can do if you were away for months, never posted a msg, and I never saw you with your avatar. It's impossible for me to try and see whether any of the 4000+ members use this avatar.

I have nothing to do with your identity. I've modified mine to suit my taste.

And if you feel that your avatar has been stolen or misused, you can report it to the admins.

You would have, if it was YOUR logo. It's not yours. So...no rats *whatever*.

Anyway...the point is...don't start claiming something to be yours. And even more important, don't try to sound too cool by using terms as "identity theft".

Personally i would not use someone else's logo even if i have to alter/change/edit/modify it. I would not use it. Full stop. For an example, Plagiarism doesn't necessarily have to be a photocopy version. It is in most cases a little bit altered/edited/modified/changed. I understand you get the idea by now.

I copied from internet. It is there to be copied. All i wanted to say is usually one logo is used by one user. There is no such rule but this is common practice. I have no issue with another person using a logo, the issue is somewhere else. You are a bright poster, you would be able to get it. For a hint i never used to read any posts made by vladmamu.

I don't think Kabir bhai intentionally copied it off you, or even saw yours for that matter as you've been absent lately. It cannot be plagiarism if it's not your work, so please don't accuse someone of such a thing.

i'm playing around with different avatars... getting too attached to anything has had tragic consequences for me in the past. i'm not a playa, and no fear of intimacy here... well maybe a little.

I never had an avatar...

I tried once to make a "banglitalian" flag using windows paint to have it as an avatar but the result was awful!

There are many nice avatars on the forum... fazal 1st one was the most appropriate to the charachter I must say, and ammark one is funny! But my fav one is the gif of a bangladeshi boy walking (to a match?) holding a BD flag... I guess that was cracky (the user) one.

P.S. don't try what cric crazy avatar says...

Mine's has stayed fairely constant. Made it myself so you can't claim it's off the Internet. Calvin & Hobbes is my alltime favorite comic strip and the elements of my icon align well with my BC aspirations

Care to guess what they are based on the 4 pics?
