Update on Shakib Al Hasan’s condition

Bangladesh all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan was admitted to the Apollo Hospitals Dhaka on Monday (28 October) with high fever and had to miss the first ODI of the SAHARA Cup series against New Zealand. A subsequent blood test confirmed the presence of dengue virus.

That means he's out for the series most likely. Best of luck to him and hope he recovers soon.

Not surprised. He looked pretty out of it.

Forget about the series. Dengue is serious. Just hope for no complication.

It's not as dangerous Rubu. I mean most likely that is - especially since he got diagnosed early. Dengue Haemorrhagic Fever is deadly, but not "ordinary" Dengue fever.

Still sucks for him though, damn

my mother got dengue a week ago, the doctor told me that now a days dengue in BD has changed, before the platelet of the blood used to drop very fast making the dengue extremely dangerous but nowadays it doesn't effect like that, it effects the lever, and full rest is the only medicine, my mother is feeling ok after a weeks rest as she was diagnosed early, i am hoping shakib also has this less dangerous version

Get well soon Iceman.

Our batters and other spinners can handle the Kiwis but we need 101% fit Shakib against SL and T20 WC.
