I can't access to FB.
I use FB to contact my friends and family members. Probably it was done because the bloody cartoon drawn by some buggers and FB did nothing rather gave the permission to proceed those shameless persons who always tries to do bad things and make chaos in the society. Some of the Islamic schoolers protested about that and asked the government to take action against FB. The sick people who are trying to humiliate Islam and Prophet Mohammad (sm) should keep in their mind about the situation they had after those cartoons were published and most of the Arab countries stopped importing dairy products from Denmark and due to this decision their industry was shut down. This is very disappointing situation but I think something should have done to protest against this audacity.

Google allows people to search for blasphemous drawings.
Hotmail allows people to send emails with blasphenous pictures. Shouldnt they too be banned? Better yet, ban the whole internet, there is a load of anti-Islam info on the web.....

But.. but... Its not about anti-Islam that they banned it. Its coz some guy drew cartoons of Hasina and Khaleda as "satire" (source: Daily Star).
You know whats sad? The fact that this action is very much about policing what we can think about and what we can express and share as private citizens! I guess we should all move to North Korea now! Pakistani govt took advantage of cartoon fiasco to block facebook, youtube and wikipedia.
Hoped that GOB would have had better sense....

I used to draw countless caricatures of our politicians as a kid. I lost them though. The net wasn't such a big part of my life then otherwise I would have posted them online. Freedom of speech dammit!

I am contemplating moving back to 'digital Bangladesh' in a few years time, however, I wonder how digital it would be if the Mullah's continually get their way. I noted from the pictures of protests in Pakistan, several banners talked about demands for a 'khalifat'. Within a few weeks, hardliners burst into Ahmedi mosques and blow up 93 men, women and children. I hope that there are no repetitions of that in Dhaka.
