Tamim is our best batsman but making a double century, off course, he isn't enough patience for it. So for double the man is Shahriar Nafis.

Shane Warn & Sakline Mustaq made Test century without having FC century.

There should be a poster of Jason Gillespie in Bangladesh's dressing room:

frankly none of the batsmen seem capable enough to stay at the wicket for that long to pile up that amount of runs but I would put my money on Tamim since he can get through the initial 100 blazing fast making sure the latter is not too difficult. Riyad also catches my eye but its unlikely if they bat him lower down the order.

Nowadays most big centuries are scored by batsmen who play quick and aggressive. That's the way its been trending. Now, who among us has that quality ? I think, right now, we have one and only candidate for a double. Its Tamim. I am prepared to be pleasantly surprised though. Ability wise, it should be Ash, but guy can't even last thirty balls. A test fifty will be a good starter for him.

You would be surprised to know that Kevin Pietersen scored a double today at only a strike rate of 61.

Yes, he did. I should have probably said 'openers' or no.3. Gayle, Sehwag etc to name a few. Middle order batsman, such as Kevin Pietersen, more often need to slow down at some point of a given innings to start re-building due to sudden wkt losses. Its inevitable. But, openers, aggressive ones, if they get a head start, they can bat away more worry free. Anyway, just was an observation. Obviously, there is no right formula, but something I have noticed recently.

Yeah, your right that openers who are getting big scored are aggressive, like Sewhag and Watson. I think Tamim is in that league, so Inshallah, a double this year some time.

Well, it's not really, it's just not pedestrian either.
Also, the strike rate lifted about 10 in the last 20 balls, as he hit fours and sixes then.

Only player that I can see has ability to score double hundred is Tamim Iqbal, if he plays sensibly.SN has really good records against Zimbo, lets see if he can make a double 100 and surprised us.

I remember the old pre 2007 KP. He was probably the best batsmen to ever grace England in terms of abundance of natural ability.
